After Amanda’s arrest for marijuana possession on May 23, a report claims that the actress’ parents believe that drugs are not the problem, and instead are begging Amanda to admit herself into a psychiatric hospital. Though Amanda Bynes‘ parents have been estranged from her for some time now, they are still doing their best to guide her — especially now that she’s been arrested for marijuana possession and reckless endangerment, among other things. However, despite Amanda’s crime’s link to drugs, her parents don’t believe that rehab is the answer. Amanda Bynes’ Parents: She Needs In-Patient Treatment “Amanda has been clearly using drugs, yes, including marijuana, but that is just the symptom,” a family insider revealed to Radar Online. “The fact is Amanda suffers from severe mental health issues that she refuses to accept. Rick and Lynn want her to seek in-patient treatment at a psychiatric hospital so she can be properly treated." Rick and Lynn Bynes have been trying their hardest to help Amanda help herself, but for someone who refuses to take the first step of acceptance, it is an uphill battle. Amanda Bynes: ‘I Don’t Do Drugs’ Even after being arrested, the 27-year-old actress showed a total inability to take responsibility. In court after the incident, Amanda told a judge that the bong she hurled from her apartment window was “just a vase,” according to TMZ. And once she had been released on $1,000 bail, Amanda then took to Twitter on May 24 to address her arrest, and had some astonishing things to say. “I only smoke tobacco I don’t drink or do drugs. I’ve never had a bong in my life! I need to get another nose job after seeing my mugshot! :D,” she tweeted. Amanda is deflecting the seriousness of the situation and running away from it. We’ve ranted constantly about how much we’ve loved Selena Gomez’s epic performances of “Come & Get It” at awards shows like the MTV VMAs, the Radio Disney Music Awards, and the Billboard Music Awards — her bindis forever have our hearts. But Selena broke out a simpler rendition of the song for The Graham Norton Show on May 23, and it was just as amazing! Selena Gomez Rocks ‘The Graham Norton Show’ Selena took the small stage without any backup dancers (or bindis) this time — just her and her band. She was looking seriously smoking in a two-piece black and gold number that temptingly showed off just a hint of her midriff. The song had much more of a notable rock feel to it this time around, and while the stage may have been smaller, the performance’s energy was as high as ever. Selena remained with the mic for the whole song, focusing on singing rather than any choreography. While the audience might be smaller, and the pressure seems reduced, it is actually harder to really nail such an intimate performance. With such a bare setup, what’s actually on display is magnified, so any small mistakes seem huge. But Selena seemed to thrive in the moment, and her energy was captured perfectly in her fierce facial expressions throughout the song. Sadly, there wasn’t a new guido or guidette on the way but Snooki says she wants to add to the family! "I want three more kids and I would love to have one now but my house isn't ready." Snooki’s Wild Plans For Lorenzo’s First Birthday Snooki gave birth to baby Lorenzo Dominic Lavalle on Aug. 26, 2012 so his first birthday is coming up. She shares her plans for the little one’s birthday party. "I feel like the first birthday needs to be outrageous. So, I could do farm animals or zebras. Not lions, cause that's scary. But I definitely want to do something crazy." Baby Lorenzo’s Meatball Milestone Snooki’s little meatball had his first taste of the Italian dish just recently! She spills how baby Lorenzo is taking steps away from baby food. "He actually tried meatballs last Sunday dinner and he loved them.” She also told us how she just loves being a mom. Tim Curry: Actor Actually Suffered Stroke In July, Rep Says May 25th 2013, 15:33 On May 24, the world was saddened by a report that the iconic actor had recently suffered a major stroke. Tim’s rep is now clarifying that report, and revealing that Tim’s health struggle is actually somewhat dated. Tim Curry, the actor behind Dr. Frank N. Furter in The Rocky Horror Picture Show (or the snobby concierge in Home Alone 2 for the younger generation), did suffer a stroke, but not on May 23 as a report had claimed. ‘Rocky Horror’ Actor’s Stroke Actually Happened In July The 67-year-old actor collapsed in his Hollywood Hills, Calif. home after having the stroke on May 23, Mail Online reported. But that traumatic moment was not as breaking as we had initially thought. In response to the report, Tim’s longtime publicist Marcia Hurwitz clarified her client’s health status. The stroke actually occurred “last July,” she told USA Today. “He has been going to physical therapy, doing very well and in great humor,” she added. “He thanks everyone for sending him good wishes.” Tim Curry’s Stroke: Not A Recent Health Scare? Marcia had also spoken to Mail Online for the original report, saying that, "Tim is doing great. He absolutely can speak and is recovering at this time and in great humor." Either she forgot to mention to Mail Online when exactly Tim had his stroke, or the report omitted it. The most important thing though is that Tim is on his way to recovery. He is now nearly a year removed from his traumatic episode and his participation in physical therapy and lack of further complications are good signs.
