'America's Got Talent' Recap: Innovative Force Steals The Show Jul 31st 2013, 04:42, by Avery Thompson Another week, another round of 12 talents battling it out for a place in the semi-finals on ‘America’s Got Talent.’ The stakes continue to get higher every week, and the competition was flying high (literally) on the July 30 episode. America’s Got Talent is making itself quite at home at Radio City Music Hall. The July 30 live episode featured another set of 12 amazing talents trying to earn votes for a spot in the semi-finals. HollywoodLife.com picked our five favorites from the episode — and it’s a diverse group of talent, to say the least. Top 5 Performances From July 30 5. Ciana Pelekai This 12-year-old singer from Hawaii is just about the cutest thing we’ve ever seen. Ciana has big dreams of being like Beyonce and Christina Aguilera and she’s got the voice to prove it. She was understandably nervous in her first performance at Radio City Music Hall, but she gave a sweet rendition of Emeli Sandé‘s “Next To Me”. All the judges recognize this burgeoning talent and all believe she “deserves a shot” at the top. 4. Aquanuts This synchronized swimming group definitely has our attention. They performed an impeccable routine to Rihanna’s “Diamonds,” complete with dazzling high heels. The ladies had to go the extra mile due to an injury that sidelined one of their teammates. Despite the added pressure, the ladies had a captivating routine that is so different from anything we’ve seen on the show. Mel B acknowledged that the act is “different” but she likes it that way. Heidi Klum appreciated the fact that America’s Got Talent recognizes this Olympic sport as a potential Vegas act! 3. Alexandr Magala This guy is NUTS, but in the best way possible. Alexandr literally puts his life on the line with every performance. How, you ask? He swallows a sword! Not only that, he also did back flips with the sword still in his mouth! Even though he scares us to death every time he puts his life out there, we are obsessed with this guy. Howard Stern declared “he couldn’t get enough of this act” and Mel B called his act “thoroughly dangerous and frightening.” Everyone loves a daredevil and Alexandr sure is one. It also doesn’t hurt that he performed almost his entire act mostly shirtless (oh yeah). 2. Forte It astounds us that this operatic tenor group found each other online. Forte blew us away with their incredible performance of Barbra Streisand’s “Somewhere (There’s a Place For Us).” Howard couldn’t emphasize enough the “quality” and “talent” coming from this powerful trio. Howie Mandel even went so far to say that “there’s a place for you and it’s in the top ten!” We’re with Howie on this one. To take on Barbra is always a risk, but these guys pulled it off perfectly. 1. Innovative Force This bedazzled dance group completely floored us with their amazing performance. They manage to combine dancing, gymnastics, and insane stunts for a flawless routine. One minute they’re wowing you with their tumbling skills and then the next a girl is legitimately flying through the air. Yes, we’re serious. The strength and agility required from all the girls is astonishing. The judges praised this young bunch: Heidi gave them two thumbs up and Mel B loved their energy and costumes. The great thing about Innovative Force is that they are constantly changing things up with their routine and impressing us each and every time. 'Pretty Little Liars' Recap: [Spoiler] Confesses To Killing Detective Wilden Jul 31st 2013, 01:19, by Andy Swift Has Wilden’s true killer finally been revealed? … I doubt it. There’s a chance Hanna (Ashley Benson) might have gone a little too far helping her mom on the July 30 episode of Pretty Little Liars. Desperate to get her mom out of prison, she decided to tell the cops that she killed Detective WIlden (Bryce Johnson), and she turned to the one person she knew could help her perfect a lie: Mona (Janel Parrish)! Unfortunately, Hanna’s knight in shining hair didn’t approve of her new ally. Could this be the beginning of the end of her relationship with Caleb (Tyler Blackburn)? Nope! They’re still fine. (Sorry to get you all worried there.) There was a pretty big twist, though, when Mona showed up to the police station and confessed to killing Wilden herself! What does she have up her sleeve?! Did Wilden Kill Toby’s Mom? Meanwhile, Spencer (Troian Bellisario) dug deeper into the mystery of what really happened to Toby’s (Keegan Allen) mother. Her most unsettling discovery was that Wilden had faked her death report, and now she’s convinced that someone else wanted to see him dead. You know, besides Hanna. And Hanna’s mom. And everybody else in town. Unfortunately, Spencer’s mom — aka Mariska Hargitay‘s stunt double — wasn’t having any of her daughter’s suspicions. I guess Spencer’s going to have take matters into her own hands… again. Aria’s Bro-blems A few blocks over, Aria (Lucy Hale) was up to her pretty little neck in family problems. After finding out that Mike’s (Cody Christian) teammates have been giving him a hard time, she nearly freaked out when she thought he had passed out drunk at a party. So who did she call for help? Her dashing, responsible ex-boyfriend Ezra (Ian Harding), perhaps? Nope! She punched in Jake’s (Ryan Guzman) digits, and he came running to her side in no time flat. Once they realized Mike was fine, Aria and Jake had themselves a mini-date, only they didn’t call it a date. Even when they saw a commercial for Insidious Chapter 2 – that was some A+ product placement, by the way — Aria refused to call their future movie outing a date. She came pretty close, though! Tears Of A Mom And it was a rough week for the Fields family, as Emily (Shay Mitchell) and her mom dealt with the aftermath of that random car driving into their living room last week. While Emily looked to the future — she met with her old Habitat For Humanity supervisor (Rumer Willis) for a recommendation and another potential trip — Mrs. Fields (Nia Peeples) completely fell apart, faced with the mountain of stressful struggles in her life. In fact, she literally broke down at the end of the episode, crying in her daughter’s arms. (Am I the only one who cannot handle watching moms cry? It kills me every time!) But what undiagnosed medical condition caused the bigger-than-normal baby? Oh, baby! Jasleen was born on July 26 at University Hospital in Leipzig, Germany, weighing in at a whopping 13 pounds, 4 ounces! And while most babies her size are delivered via caesarean section, baby Jasleen’s mother delivered her daughter naturally! Germany’s Biggest Baby Born WITHOUT C-Section Jasleen was delivered naturally on July 26, weighing 13.47 pounds and measuring 22.6 inches long, making her the largest newborn in Germany, surpassing a baby boy named Jihad who was born in Berlin in 2011 and weighed 13 pounds. Both mother and baby Jasleen are doing well, though the newborn remains hospitalized in the neonatal care unit. The medical term used for babies who are born weighing more than 8 pounds, 13 ounces is “fetal macrosomia,” which makes vaginal delivery difficult and increases the risk that the baby will have health problems after birth. What Caused Baby Jasleen’s Higher Than Average Birth Weight? German newspaper Der Spiegel explains that Jasleen’s mother had a previously undiagnosed cast of gestational diabetes, citing the medical condition as cause for the baby’s birth weight. “This condition, which develops at around the 24th week of pregnancy, can lead to a larger than usual baby size,” according to Mail Online. Princess Diana tragically passed away on August 31, 1997 at the age of 36, yet her legacy lives on. Case in point: Vanity Fair has placed her on the cover of their coveted September issue. The article inside the mag focuses on Diana’s much talked about love life and relationship with Pakistani heart surgeon Hasnat Khan, but we were more preoccupied with how stunning she looked on the cover.
