Taylor Swift & Ed Sheeran Had 4AM Sleepover Together — Dating? Feb 28th 2013, 14:29 Taylor is moving swiftly on from that messy break up with Harry Styles, as she was reportedly seen having a sexy sleepover with Ed before her BRITs appearance on Feb. 19. After insisting to Harry Styles that they are never, ever getting back together,  Taylor Swift has found herself a new man! The night before her raunchy BRIT Awards performance on Feb. 20 — where she totally dissed Harry — Taylor allegedly spent the night with Ed Sheeran in her London hotel, until 4AM! Has Taylor moved on from the One Direction-er? Taylor Swift’s Sexy Sleepover With Ed Sheeran Taylor was at the BRIT Awards to perform “I Knew You Were Trouble”, and both Harry and Ed also attended. Ed allegedly arrived at Taylor’s hotel and went straight to her room. From there, the twosome “stayed in the room, just the two of them, until around 4 a.m.,” a source tells E! News. When Ed, 22, left the hotel, a witness reportedly saw him looking “very happy.” From there, he got into the car that Taylor, 23, had used earlier in the day and he was driven away. “He looked very pleased with himself,” adds the witness. Another source tells E! News that Taylor and Ed “briefly dated last spring. He thinks she is really cute and they have a great chemistry together.” On Ed’s birthday, Feb. 17, Taylor tweeted, “So. Stone Temple Pilots Terminate Legendary Lead Singer Scott Weiland Feb 28th 2013, 14:15 So shocking! The Stone Temple Pilots announced on Feb. 27 that they fired their lead singer, the voice behind the band’s biggest hits in the 1990s. Scott Weiland and the Stone Temple Pilots may be engaged in a long legal battle after the band terminated their lead singer on Feb. 27. A reason for the firing has not been revealed, but Scott is not happy at all. “Stone Temple Pilots have announced they have officially terminated Scott Weiland,” the band, now consisting of bassist Robert DeLeo, guitarist Dean DeLeo and drummer Eric Kretz, said in a statement on Feb. 27. “I learned of my supposed ‘termination’ from Stone Temple Pilots this morning by reading about it in the press,” Scott, 45, said in his own statement, according to Reuters. ”Not sure how I can be ‘terminated’ from a band that I founded, fronted and co-wrote many of its biggest hits, but that’s something for the lawyers to figure out.” The band, who is responsible for hits such as “Plush” and “Interstate Love Song,” broke up in 2003, but reunited in 2008. During that “break,” Scott was in the rock group Velvet Revolver with former members of Guns N’ Roses among others. Oddly enough, Scott begins a month-long solo US concert tour on March 1 in Flint, Michigan. His Twitter account in flooded with tweets, promoting his tour. It’s not uncommon for musical guests to be the target of late night talk show fodder — especially when said guests cancel their appearance last-minute — but when former Smiths frontman Morissey refused to appear on Jimmy Kimmel Live on Feb. 26, the gloves came off and Jimmy Kimmel was noticeably angry and annoyed. The English singer had cancelled his appearance late the night before he was supposed to perform after he learned the cast of the A&E reality TV show Duck Dynasty, who had made their fortune selling duck hunting equipment in Louisiana, were also going to be guests on the talk show on the same night. Morrissey is a vegan and avid animal rights activist (so much so, he refuses meat to be sold at concession stands the night of his concerts), and said in a statement that he likened the cast of the popular reality show to mass murderers. American Pianist Van Cilburn Dies After Battling Bone Cancer Feb 28th 2013, 12:41 The beloved musician, who was hailed a hero at the age of 23 when he won the International Tchaikovsky Piano Competition in Moscow at the height of the cold war, died on Feb. 28 after battling bone cancer. Van Cilburn, a beloved American pianist, died at the age of 78 after losing his battle with bone cancer. The musician gained worldwide recognition after winning first place in the International Tchaikovsky Piano Competition in 1958 when he was just 23 years old. Van, who won the competition in Moscow at the height of the Cold War, became a symbol of defeat over the Soviet Union during the war. His performance at the competition was received by an eight-minute standing ovation. At the event, the judges had to reportedly ask Soviet Premier Nikita Khrushchev if they could give the first place prize to an American. "Is he the best?" Khrushchev reportedly said, according to the Washington Post. "Then give him the prize!" Van Cilburn Propelled To Worldwide Fame After his heroic win, Van became an international pop star and was beloved by fans worldwide. When he got back to New York from Moscow, he was received with a huge parade in Lower Manhattan attended by 100,000 people. New York mayor Mayor Robert F. Wagner said during a ceremony at City Hall that "with his two hands, Van Cliburn struck a chord which has resounded around the world, raising our prestige with artists and music lovers everywhere,” according to the New York Times.
