Oh no! Cops were called to the singer’s home in what appears to be another swatting prank!
It looks like Rihanna is the latest celebrity to be the victim of a swatting prank! LAPD were called to the singer’s home on April 4, according to TMZ.
The 911 call claimed that two armed men entered Rihanna’s Pacific Palisades home and that someone had been shot. LAPD responded to the call, but believe it is another swatting prank.
Urban Dictionary defines swatting as, "A goal achieved by hacking where the hacker tricks 911 systems into deploying SWAT to an unsuspecting victim's home under false pretenses."
Chris Brown Victim Of Swatting Prank
Rihanna is one of many celebrities who have been the victim of swatting recently, including her boyfriend Chris Brown! On January 22, a call was made to the police reporting a domestic incident at Chris’ Hollywood home. When police arrived on the scene, they discovered it was just a prank.
A source previously told HollywoodLife.com exclusively how Chris felt after the incident happened. Although Chris wasn’t at his home when the police were called, he was still pretty upset about the prank.
"When he heard what had happened of course he called his home, he was scared and didn't know what was going on," the source explained. "His mom rushed over there to see what was happening and he called her, but it turned out everything was all good."
