It was the start of ‘The Knockouts’ on ‘The Voice,’ pinning team member against team member,m forcing the judges to slim their teams down by half before the live shows begin next week. But this week, it seems like all the judges were more focused on going against Blake!

Once again, The Voice stages were full of talent and competition. Since there are no steals in this round, it should just be the judges narrowing down their teams. However, it was much more difficult and the judges of course, were butting heads. ShakiraUsher and even his bromance buddy Adam Levine all went head-to-head with Blake Shelton. He even admitted that it seems like everything he says is offensive to the judges and Adam agreed!

Team Adam Impresses Blake Shelton

“I think I like you as much as I can’t stand Adam Levine,” Blake told Team Adam’s country singer Amber Carrington after she opened the show with an amazing version of “I’m With You.”

Amber, who responded by telling Blake how much she loved him, which riled up Adam! However, it must have been an incentive Adam liked — he kept Amber over folk duo Midas Whale.

Shakira, Adam & Usher V. Blake

When Team Shakira’s Tawnya Reynolds took the stage with “Hell on Heels,” she proved that she could rock the stage with that yodeling-country voice!

“When you throw in too many of the yodels, it cuts off the note when you do that” Blake said after praising her. But Shakira came to her defense, adding that she told her to do as many as possible and that she liked them.

Then, both Adam and Usher encouraged Shakira, chanting “tell him!”

Even Usher said that he was impressed by her voice, adding the he was going to “compliment the yodeling!” Blake must have had enough of that because he called Usher a “kiss ass!”

At the end though, Shakira preferred rocker Garret Gardner‘s performance better than Tawnya’s yodeling, and she was sent home.

After another great performance by Judith Hill, who sang Willie Nelson‘s “Always On My Mind,” Blake told her he she might as well punch him in the face, because he wants her on his team and  Shakira jumps up to volunteer and Adam joins in saying he would enjoy it! Jeesh!

Notable Performances Of The Night — ‘The Voice’ Artists Are Most Talented Ever

While the judges were bickering, the singers on Team Adam and Team Shakira were singing their hearts out!

One of the most powerful battles of the night, and probably the toughest decisions for Adam was when  Amy Whitcomb went up against her best friend Caroline Glaser. Amy sang ”House of the Rising Sun,” a tough song. Starting a little shaky, she displayed her SUPER powerful voice and nailed the ending — even Caroline looked nervous.

Caroline took on a slightly easier song “Little Talks,” – a smart decision as it really showcased just how consistent she could be (which the judges already knew). That consistency won her the battle.

Another amazing performance was by Warren Stone, who played guitar and sounded amazing singing, “(I Just) Died In Your Arms Tonight.” However, he was paired against judge favorite Sarah Simmons sang ”Wild Horses,” and she blew all the judges away once again!

The last knock out of the night brought Shawna P. singing “Maybe I’m Amazed,” head-to-head with Sasha Allen, who sang ”At Last.”

The Bromance Lives

I didn’t want to worry any of you BLAM lovers — I love Blake and Adam’s bromance too. The bromance is still alive.

Adam told Sarah that her voice had perfection that reminded him of Blake’s wife Miranda Lambert, which made Blake’s night. “Here, here,” he said, happily applauding!

Later, when Usher tells Blake he loves him and Blake says it back, Adam chimes in saying, “now I’m jealous!”

So, HollywoodLifers – do you think the judges were too tough on Blake? Or do you find the banter hilarious? Be sure to come back tomorrow night for the knockouts for Team Usher and Team Blake!
