There’s only one more show left until Howie, Howard, Mel B, and Heidi take their chosen talents to Las Vegas for another round of auditions. The July 9 episode continued to bring great talents that are sure to make it far in the competition.

The pressure is on in the last rounds of auditions before Las Vegas, and this week’s talent didn’t disappoint. Even though Howie Mandel was fashionably late to auditions, the July 9 episode of America’s Got Talent included incredible voices, nerve-wracking acts, and made us swear Robert De Niro was in the room!

Top 5 Performances For July 9

5. Jimmy Rose: The Country Crooning Hero

This 32-year-old Marine Corps veteran and former coal miner made our hearts melt as he crooned to an original song. This Kentucky native showed what old school country music is all about. The song was so touching and sweet. We want more songs from Jimmy! Howard Stern was super impressed with his performance: “That was a damn good song.” He even said he would have added his record and put it on the air!

4. Jim Meskiman: The Celebrity Impersonator

Was Robert De Niro and Robin Williams in the audience of this week’s show? No, it was actually Jim. This celebrity impersonator wowed us with his spot-on impressions of celebrities. From De Niro to Robin to Ricky Gervais, this guy has some serious skills. We can’t even imagine who he is going to impersonate next — maybe Howard or Howie? Now that would be awesome.

3. Chloe Channel: The Sassy Southern Singer

It’s tough to take on a powerhouse song by Carrie Underwood but this 11-year-old breezed through it. Chloe sang “All-American Girl” and that’s exactly what she was. She was adorable and truly incredible for a girl so young. Howie told her, “You, young lady have a career ahead of you” and Mel B proclaimed, “Girl, you can sing!”

2. Aerial Ice: Acrobatics, Ice Skates, and Stunts, Oh My!

Even though this group didn’t actually ice skate — but rather skated on plastic — they still blew us away with their extreme acrobatic routine. These acrobats tried some serious spinning stunts! The group showed versatility and raw talent that’s sure to take them very far in the competition. The judges loved the act and Heidi Klum said, “It was nerve-wracking, it was exciting, it was dangerous.” All the ingredients of a great talent, Heidi!

1. 212 Green: The Next Great Band

This soul pop band from Harlem brought down the house with their rendition of Adele’s “Rumor Has It.” The sole two ladies gave powerful side-by-side vocals while the rest of band rocked it out on guitars and drums. Their sound was unlike anything heard today and we can’t wait to see what other hit songs they’ll cover. Mel B even told them they reminded her of the Spice Girls and that the band was her “favorite so far!”

America’s Got Talent will be on at a special time, July 10, for the last round of auditions before Las Vegas! Be sure to tune in!
