There’s always high anticipation every time a future One Direction music video is announced. The band has been teasing the video for their newest single, “Best Song Ever,” for the past week, and they finally premiered it on July 22! Watch it below.
One Direction Releases ‘Best Song Ever’ Video
The boys of 1D do a great job at getting fans excited for their videos, as they often tease the premieres with clips of behind-the-scenes footage to keep the anticipation high. They did it for their “Kiss You” video, and they did it again for the “Best Song Ever” video!
“It’s probably our best video yet,” Niall Horan said in one of the teasers.
Along with Niall’s thoughts, 1D teased the video as “what can only be described as the most-anticipated, highly-appreciated movie motion picture of the summer,” and we definitely agree! We are so excited the video has finally been released!
One Direction Takes On Alter Egos For ‘Best Song Ever’ Video
One Direction has a way of making some of the best music videos no matter what the song is about. Just like their “Kiss You” video, the boys goofed around in their video for “Best Song Ever.” But this time, they weren’t themselves!
Niall, Zayn Malik, Harry Styles, Louis Tomlinson and Liam Payne all take on different personas for “Best Song Ever,” and they couldn’t be more hilarious!
In “Best Song Ever,” the boys are filming a movie, and while they are filming, there are five “Hollywood movie moguls” that manage the making of it. The best part is, they didn’t hire anyone to play the five movie moguls — it’s the five of them!
Niall and Louis play Harvey and Jonny, two studio execs; Liam is the choreographer, Leroy; Harry appears as Marcel, the marketing guy; and Zayn plays Veronica, the sexy assistant.
That’s right, Directioners, Zayn plays a GIRL!
Although Zayn does a pretty great job at pulling off a wig, none of the boys’ costumes were meant to make them look attractive. Nevertheless, it’s quite entertaining to see them be so goofy! Besides, we’re already very aware of how attractive all of them actually are.
Their goofiness makes the video for “Best Song Ever” easily one of their best videos ever, and makes us love our favorite boys even more!
