Just one day after welcoming the next heir to the throne, Kate Middleton and Prince William made their grand exit from the hospital — and happily answered questions from the press about their new bundle of joy!
Prince William and Kate Middleton bravely faced the press after welcoming their baby boy, and they could not have possibly been beaming any more! After the happy new family posed for photos outside of St. Mary’s Hospital in London, the royal couple revealed that being new parents is “very emotional.”
Prince William & Kate Middleton Answers Questions After The Hospital
The royal couple were absolutely glowing as they walked down the steps in the Lindo Wing in St. Mary’s Hospital. They were greeted by cheers from well-wishers and press, and posed for photos with their new prince!
“He’s got a good pair of lungs, he’s a big boy, he’s quote heavy,” William joked.
Prince William revealed they haven’t picked out a name yet, but that they wanted to wait and see what he looked like before they settled on a name.
Will added that being a new parent has been “very emotional.” “Any parent knows what this feeling feels like,” Kate said.
The proud new dad also marveled at his baby boy’s beauty.
“Luckily, he’s got his mom’s looks,” William joked. “He’s got more hair than me!”
Prince William & Kate Middleton Release Statement After Baby
While the couple stayed posted up in the hospital with their bundle of joy, they released a statement to thank the gracious hospital staff at St. Mary’s for all of their hard work. On July 23, just a day after their baby was born, they wrote:
We would like to thank the staff at the Lindo Wing and the whole hospital for the tremendous care the three of us have received. We know it has been a very busy period for the hospital and we would like to thank everyone – staff, patients and visitors – for their understanding during this time.
We think they looked amazing in their matching blue, and Prince William is such a proud dad!
