'Divergent' Trailer: New Footage Shown Before MTV VMAs Aug 26th 2013, 01:00, by Andy Swift ‘Divergent’ is still seven months away, but thanks to MTV, we’ve got a brand-new look at the 2014 epic. Watch it now! Music lovers weren’t the only ones pumped for the 2013 MTV Video Music Awards; Aug. 25 was also a huge night for fans of Shailene Woodley and Theo James‘ upcoming sci-fi epic Divergent! The network aired a brand-new trailer during the VMA pre-show, revealing more of what we can expect when the movie hits theaters in March 2014. For those unfamiliar with Divergent, it takes place in a dystopian society, in which one girl — Shailene’s character, Beatrice “Tris” Prior — discovers what happens when someone doesn’t quite fit into that perfect world. Along with Shailene and Theo, Divergent features many more of our faves, including Kate Winslet and Nikita‘s Maggie Q!
