The moment ‘Lannie’ fans have waited years for finally came this week — then very quickly went.
For the past five seasons, Annie Wilson (Shenae Grimes) has been a woman of many hats; we’ve seen her as an actress, a prostitute, and most recently, the author of a “best-selling erotic adventure novel.” But on the Feb. 25 episode of 90210, Annie finally figured out what she really wants out of life: to be with Liam (Matt Lanter)! If only she’d kept up with my recaps, I’m pretty sure Annie would have come to that conclusion a long time ago.
Unfortunately, “Lannie” is in a complicated spot right now. They’re friends and they’re roommates and Annie doesn’t want to screw that up… no matter how times she fantasizes about ripping his clothes off and doing the dirty right there in the kitchen. She eventually came clean to him, but he was super drunk — and in his underwear, which is equally if not more important — so he ended up passing out just as she confessed her love for him. Typical.
Liam, meanwhile, was busy trying to figure out what he wants out of life — I guess illegal fighting is officially no longer an option — and Annie was literally no help. In fact, she was negative help. “You need to figure out something to do other than hanging around the house shirtless,” she told him, to which every single viewer responded, ”Shut up, Annie. Nobody asked you.”
He ended up trying to open a micro brewery, but that idea went out the window when he realized he knows absolutely nothing about beer. I’m starting to think Liam’s only real talent is looking good and keeping quiet — and is there really anything wrong with that?
So Many Bad Ideas
Silver (Jessica Stroup) and Adrianna (Jessica Lowndes) spent the hour struggling to decide how they should use their newly acquired truck. Ade suggested driving a truck full of monkeys all over town — an idea so ludicrous, I now suspect she might be tasting Silver’s bipolar meds — but after a few encouraging words from Dixon (Tristan Wilds), Silver decided to turn it into a documentary on wheels. Did no one else think that was a weird suggestion coming from Dixon? The last time Silver filmed him, she ended up making a sex tape and showing it to the entire school. Then she lit his front lawn on fire. History!
Speaking of Dixon not learning from past mistakes, he officially signed Silver’s uterus on as his new artist. In fact, he basically cut her an entire record while she was taking an extended nap. The music wasn’t great, or even good, but he still got her a gig at Naomi’s restaurant opening — and Silver was pissed.
Kitchen Nightmares
Yes, Naomi (AnnaLynne McCord) and Mark’s new restaurant opened this week, after approximately four days of preparation. The evening was a disaster, but it somehow improved when Naomi had an allergic reaction to Mark’s food and he was forced to stab her in the leg with an EpiPen. “We’re both allergic to weird food,” they discovered, which made them instant friends.
Annie and Dixon, meanwhile, have made absolutely no effort to befriend their estranged half-brother. (I’m beginning to think Annie only associates with guys she plans on sleeping with, but maybe that’s just me.)
What’s Navid Up To?
Navid (Michael Steger) found himself in trouble with that guy from Glee again this week, but as the majestic Sweet Brown once said, “Ain’t nobody got time for that!”
What did you think of this week’s episode? Are you glad Annie and Liam are finally starting to reunite? Did you detect a little spark between Dixon and Silver? Drop me a comment with your thoughts.
