But the brave boy returned for an encore performance days later! Sebastien de la Cruz, 11, unfortunately sparked a slew of racist comments on social media after he sang the National Anthem in a mariachi costume during game three of the NBA finals in his hometown of San Antonio, Tex. Instead of addressing the inappropriate haters, the Spurs invited Sebastien back — and he proudly sang again in his favorite Mexican-American garb. Sebastien de la Cruz Sings National Anthem Again The amazingly talented young singer delivered a flawless performance of “The Star-Spangled Banner” on June 11, and was invited back two days later for game four for an encore performance. Despite racist comments about the little boy and his choice of outfit on Twitter — some even calling him an “illegal” — he returned in yet another mariachi costume. He told CNN about the honor of being invited back: “To be invited back to sing the national anthem is just amazing because now I know the San Antonio Spurs like how I sing. It makes me feel like I’m doing something legendary.” Sebastien’s performances were praised by the Spurs and the majority of the San Antonio community, and the NBA team’s coach Gregg Popovich called the young singer a “class act.” He also said the people who made those hateful comments were “idiots,” and that Sebastien is ”way more mature than most his age.” Sebastien de la Cruz Bombarded By Racist Commentary After his first performance during game three, Twitter was flooded with bigoted messages from people who thought the little boy wearing a mariachi costume was inappropriate for the United States’ national anthem. In a newly leaked song featured on the rapper’s upcoming album, Kanye talks about the binding commitment of parenthood and even touches on abortion, less than a month before his girlfriend Kim Kardashian is expected to give birth to their first child. It’s only natural for new fathers to have second thoughts about parenthood. But did Kanye West broadcast his second thoughts to the world in the form of “Blood On The Leaves,” a leaked track off his upcoming album, Yeezus? Kanye West: Is He Rapping Negatively About Parenthood? The song touches on many deep topics, though in general it’s a song about rocky relationships. Towards the end of the track Yeezy somewhat cryptically raps about having a mistress who gets pregnant, and says the following lines: Then she said she pregnant ain’t it That’s the night your heart died Then you gotta go and tell your girl and report that Main reason cause your pastor said you can’t abort that Kanye then goes on to highlight all of the things people can’t have or do once they become parents, and he dreadfully implies that having a child is a life sentence. ‘Blood On The Leaves’: Just A Cautionary Tale “Blood On The Leaves” isn’t by any means autobiographical — it seems to be more of a study on relationships than a specific account — but it is noteworthy that Kanye touches on abortion, and perhaps its benefits, just weeks before his first child is born. Thankfully Kanye is in a much different position than the people he touches on in the song. He’s not a guy who accidentally got a mistress pregnant — he’s having a child with the love of his life — so these “death sentences” don’t really apply to him. Instead of thinking that Kanye is wary about becoming a father, we should use “Blood On The Leaves” as a point of comparison to realize that Kim and Kanye are bringing a baby into the world in a sound family environment. She’s smokin’ hot on the new issue of Billboard in a black one piece swimsuit, which would probably look plain on anyone else but come one, we’re talking about Miley 2.0 here. The suit has a halter top with a deep V cut down to the belly button, a metal embellishment on the right strap and um, not much else! It shows off Miley’s cleavage and tattoos, taking her as far away from “Hannah Montana” and Disney as possible. She’s dripping in gold jewelry including two necklaces, a triple-layer cuff bracelet, four earrings and two thick rings. Her platinum blonde hair is spiked up into her new trademark mohawk and her dark eye makeup and brows add to the drama. We know she’s all about being herself and creating hew own image, etc. etc. but this cover can’t help but make us think of Rihanna, not that that’s a bad thing. In a new interview the sexy singer reveals the order of her priorities, and Liam is not at the very top. Could this by why Miley and Liam’s relationship has been on the rocks? Miley Cyrus has been in full-gear working on her next album. And according to the singer herself, she’s willing to do whatever it takes to make the music as good as possible — even if it means putting her relationship with Liam Hemsworth on the back burner. Miley Cyrus: ‘I’ve Put Music First’ “I want my record to be the biggest record in the world,” Miley tells Billboard in a new interview. “I’ve given everything to get here, even down to friends and family and relationships — I’ve put this music first.” It’s quite a stunning statement — we can’t help but admire Miley’s persistence, but we’re also shocked that she’d be so forthcoming about how she’s put her relationship on hold! Miley Cyrus & Liam Hemsworth On The Rocks Over the past few months, we’ve seen Miley in the studio more and more, and her relationship with Liam has grown rockier and rockier. Liam reportedly called off their engagement on May 29 and have ostensibly been split ever since, though Miley reportedly hasn’t given up on the relationship. But there is a difference between maintaining hope for her relationship and actually devoting herself to it. From what she’s saying in her new interview, her career comes first — not Liam. Miley Cyrus: ‘I’m Going To Change So Much’ And Miley also admits to being in a constant flux — she’s still young, growing and changing. “I’m going on a journey, and that’s more than a lot of 20-year-olds can say,” Miley states. “And I’m still going to change so much. Because I’m not the same person I was six months ago — I’m not even the same person I was two weeks ago.” We’re totally behind Miley being Miley, doing her thing, and focusing on her career. Kate Middleton Kate Middleton looked her best yet in her last public appearance before she has her baby. She definitely went out with a bang, or a bump, since we’re talking maternity, and she looked darling in a dalmatian print coat dress. Her last appearance was at the naming ceremony of the newest Princess Cruises Ship. She dubbed the ship the “Royal Princess,” and looked great while doing it. With her bump elegantly concealed under her long sleeve Hobbs coat and her pretty black bow hat, matching pumps and white bag in tow, the Duchess of Cambridge showed moms-to-be everywhere maternity style done right! Taylor Swift Taylor Swift looked heavenly at the 2013 Fragrance Foundation Awards and used her Emilio Pucci gown to once again show us how beautiful and fierce she is. The white, flowing gown made the songstress look like an absolute angel with it’s ethereal chiffon fabric, open back, and sheer piece in front. Taylor stunned with her high bun and dramatic makeup that took her sweet look to a new powerful level. She’s pretty but she’s not a push-over and this outfit proves it. Shay Mitchell Shay Mitchell looked perfect for summer in a Naven blazer short suit at The Paley Center For Media Presents An Evening With 'Pretty Little Liars.' She paired the suit with a neon green blouse and the color combo was a dream come true. Her metallic gold Jimmy Choo wedges and matching metallic gold clutch added some glam to her casual outfit and she looked so pretty! She kept her hair simple and made us excited to see all of her future outfits on this season of “Pretty Little Liars.” Emmy Rossum Emmy Rossum was ravishing in red at the 2013 Critic’s Choice Television Awards in Beverly Hills June 10. Her Naeem Khan gown was a glitzy and glam and seemed totally inspired by “The Great Gatsby.” With an all-over red sequined chevron pattern the dress looked very 1920s and made Emmy look amazing. The dress was banded around her waist, giving her a great shape and it cut straight across the top, revealing just a hint of cleavage. The cap sleeves were the perfect touch and her matching red lipstick pulled it all together. She definitely reminds us of a 21st century flapper with even her sleek loosely curled hair giving us that glamour vibe.
