Chris — after a passionate but tumultuous renewed romance with Rihanna for almost all of the past year, you’ve made the right decision for you — to break up with RiRi.
Chris Brown — I’m sure you do still love and respect Rihanna. You’re probably still “in love” with her and she’s no doubt still “in love” with you. In fact, sources from both camps confirm to us that you do both still have these deep feelings for each other.
Chris Brown & Rihanna: Focus On Your Careers
But just because you two love each other and care about each other, doesn’t mean that you shouldn’t take a break from your love affair.
Chris, I think you maturely realize that both you and Rihanna are under a tremendous amount of pressure. You’re both under the kind of professional pressure that would leave most people quivering in a pool on the floor.
Rihanna is in the midst of an ultra demanding world concert tour after releasing her new album, Unapologetic.
She’s also executive producing an exciting new fall TV for the Style network, called Styled to Rock. She’ll be making appearances on the show as well as booking top musical talents like Pharrell Williams and design talents like Erin Wasson to participant.
And then she’s also designing a new fashion collection — Rihanna for River Island.
That’s a lot of professional commitments for one 25-year-old woman.
But even she’s had a tough time handling all the pressure she’s under. She was forced to cancel several of her tour shows after getting sick with laryngitis.
Chris Brown, You’ve Come So Far
And then there’s you, Chris. You’re also more than up to your eyebrows in professional commitments.
You have a big new album, X, being released this summer and sources are telling HollywoodLife.com that it’s terrific and that your RCA record label execs are super excited about it.
You need to concentrate on your own music and career right now, you’ve told people close to you, according to HollywoodLife sources. In fact, you tweeted your feelings on the subject matter: “Ima just focus on my music.”
And that’s completely understandable!
You’re just 24, and you’ve had to work incredibly hard to rebuild your career and reputation after your terrible mistake, when you assaulted Rihanna.
You also have had to work hard on your personal issues. You never wanted to be violent again — and you’ve done that. You’ve spent a lot of time working on anger management and with the Jenesse’s Center, a center for domestic violence.
With all of this in your life and Rihanna’s, it’s easy to see why you would feel that it was just too much of a strain to keep your romance with Rihanna going right now.
Chris, You’re Both So Young
Romances between two big personalities who happen to be two big personalities who happened to be world stars are hard enough to keep going, without adding in the pressures of long distance because of your competing schedules.
No wonder, you decided to admit to Australian radio station 2DAYFM, that you and Rihanna had split and you were a single man again.
“I mean, at the end of the day shawty [Rihanna] doing her own thing, she on the road. It’s always gonna be love. I’m a grown man, just gotta move forward.”
You offered a very sensible explanation for the split: “People have differences and people have different wants and needs. At the end of the day, she’s a young girl. I can't be focused on wife-ing somebody that young, and I'm young too.”
Chris, It’s Not The Right Time
Chris, you’re right. You’re both very young and you both have to focus on your own careers right now. It’s not realistic for either you or Rihanna to focus on getting engaged, married or having children, right now. Neither of you are ready.
“I just got to step forward and be a man and be the best Chris Brown I can be, instead of worrying about whoever else is going to be in my side pocket,” you explained.
We understand at HollywoodLife.com from sources close to you that you and Rihanna had been fighting a lot — and that’s not surprising.
When you have to be far apart so much of the time, it’s so easy to have misunderstandings which lead to debilitating fights.
Chris, you’ve said you’re ”always gonna love” Rihanna and a source tells us that she will always love you too, but your lives are just not conductive to the two of you being together right now.
Splitting up makes sense for you at the moment. And we can see that realistically, it’s just easier for you to be hanging with on-again girlfriend, Karreuche Tran right now.
You seem to like having support from a woman and unlike Rihanna, Karreuche can be there in LA with you in a low key and undemanding way. That’s all you can really handle for the moment.
So Chris, your decision to take a step back from your Rihanna romance is the right one for you right now and probably for her too.
Better to stay friends at a distance and acknowledge your love, but not allow stress to get the two of you into unneeded drama that you might regret later.
You and Rihanna have long lives ahead and can always reignite your love and passion when you are both older and ready for more commitment. Do you agree HollywoodLifers? Let me know!
