The Santa Monica college in California is under lockdown following a shooting, and three people are reported to be injured.
At least three people were wounded on June 6 after a shooting at Santa Monica College in Southern California, according to officials and media reports. A suspect is reported to be in custody.
Santa Monica College On Lockdown After Shooting
A suspect is said to be in custody following a shooting at the Santa Monica College, and authorities were “checking reports for an additional shooter,” Sgt. Denise Joslin told CNN. The school was put under lockdown.
The gunman shot at least once inside the campus library around noon PST. Witnesses say there was a man holding several weapons and firing into cars and a bus near the college.
Three people were shot, and two of the victims are in critical condition and one is in serious condition, a spokeswoman for the UCLA Medical Center, Dale Tate told CNN.
Bizarrely, President Barack Obama was just minutes away in Santa Monica for a fundraiser.
