Annabel Tollman, 36, died of a blood clot on June 7 in her sleep. She was a stylist to the stars and had countless inspirational editorials in some of the biggest fashion magazines. Annabel Tollman: Celebrity Stylist

From Liv Tyler to Shakira to Mary-Kate and Ashley Olsen, Annabel Tollman styled some of the biggest female celebrities. Tollman transformed Liv Tyler from being totally safe and kind of boring and made her sleek and fashionable. Scarlett Johansson needed Tollman’s styling help as she embarked on the Lost in Translation red-carpet premiere circuit in 2003. Even the Olsen twins were dressed prim and proper under Annabel’s care. Selma Blair, Jessica Simpson and many others have all been privy to her stylish ways as well and they all looked flawless under her direction.

Fashionistas, magazine editors and fellow stylists everywhere have taken to Twitter to express their emotions about Annabel’s death. Michelle Trachtenberg tweeted: “I’m deeply devastated over the loss of my dear friend Annabel Tollman. A truly extraordinary wonderful woman who will be greatly missed.” L’Wren Scott also tweeted: “Sad news to hear the glamourous @AnnabelTollman RIP my beauty and glamour gal the ever chic and stylish always smiling and happy so special.”

About Annabel Tollman

Annabel was born in Brussels in 1977 and earned her degree in fashion journalism from Central St. Martins. Prior to taking on the role as a celebrity stylist, Annabel worked at Wallpaper* magazine and served as Interview magazine’s first-ever fashion director. She left the magazine to pursue celebrity styling full time in 2008. In 2010 she was voted one of the 50 most stylish New Yorkers by Stylecaster. In 2011 she was named one of the 25 most powerful stylists in Hollywood by The Hollywood Reporter. Additionally, her work has appeared in The New York Times, Vogue UK, The Daily Telegraph, Marie Claire, and WWD. She also appeared in a variety of television shows, including The Rachael Ray Show, LXTV, Fox News, and Kimora Lee Simmons’ Life in The Fab Lane. The talented stylist also contributed to Hollywood Life, providing red carpet recaps and award show roundups. At the time of her death, Annabel was in the process of developing a Bravo reality show.
