Watch the latest trailer for ‘Catching Fire,’ hitting theaters this November!
Happy Hunger Games, HollywoodLifers! A new international trailer for the upcoming Hunger Games: Catching Firewas unveiled at Comic-Con this weekend, and as Haymitch (Woody Harrelson) says, “I think these games are going to be different.”
Who’s hooking up? Who’s throwing down? The cast revealed a few major season five secrets in San Diego.
We still have nearly three months until The Vampire Diarieskicks off its fifth season on The CW, but the cast is already hard at work filming. And the stars were on hand July 20 at the show’s Comic-Con panel to dish a little dirt — including the future of Elena (Nina Dobrev) and Damon’s (Ian Somerhalder) re-affirmed romance. (Spoiler alert: The future looks bright!)
Silas’ Dark Plans For Mystic Falls
Let’s begin with Paul Wesley, who will be pulling double duty in season five, both as Stefan (in a box) and the true form of Silas. Before the panel began, attendees were shown an intense clip of Paul (as Silas), addressing what seemed to be a compelled group of humans in Mystic Falls. He wants the limits of his powers to be tested, which only makes me even more terrified of the already terrifying villain.
That said, Silas isn’t going to be the only threat on the show this season. In fact, he isn’t even going to be the biggest! Executive producer Julie Plec explained that the season’s initial villain is rarely the official “big bad,” to which Paul responded, “Just when you think you’re at the top of the food chain!”
Damon & Elena: So ‘Happy’ Together
The pre-panel footage featured a shot of Damon and Elena kissing, and during a separate interview with EW.com, the cast — specifically Nina — revealed some very good news for ‘Delena’ fans:
It’s been a fun summer for Elena and Damon. And Elena’s going to college now, so they’re going to try to make the long-distance thing work.
But no one was more surprised than Ian to learn that Damon and Elena actually stand a fighting chance. When Julie old him the goal was to make the couple “happy” in season five, his response was, “I thought they were joking. Damon never gets the girl!”
Bonnie & Jeremy’s Ghost-Love
Of course, ‘Delena’ isn’t the only fan-favorite couple on the show right now. Kat Graham told fans to expect a lot of scenes between Bonnie and Jeremy (Steven R. McQueen) — mostly because he’s the only one who can see her. She also remained mum about when her big secret will finally come out.
As for Jeremy’s little situation, the resurrection is addressed immediately. Oh, and Jeremy will definitely be living with Damon — which is just awesome.
Ring those wedding bells! The ‘Modern Family’ star married his real-life Cameron in a grand ceremony on June 20. Congrats!
Jesse Tyler Ferguson, who plays Mitchell on Modern Family, tied the knot with his longtime boyfriend and fellow actor, Justin Mikita in New York City on June 20.
Jesse Tyler Ferguson Marries Justin Mikita
Over 200 guests were on hand for Jesse and Justin’s wedding, according to Us Weekly. The RSVP list was totally star-studded, including Padma Lakshmi, Jerry O’Connell, Rebecca Romijn, Zachary Quinto, Isaac Mizrahi, Nigel Barker, and Cat Deeley. And of course some of Jesse’s Modern Family castmates were in attendance like Julie Bowen, Ty Burrell, and Eric Stonestreet, who plays Jesse’s husband on the show.
The couple wed at 82 Mercer, a swanky space with hardwood floors and exposed brick walls, in Manhattan. The entire day was organized by planner, Bryan Rafanelli.
“There was a lot of laughter,” an insider told Us.
Jesse, 37, and Justin, 27, have been dating for nearly two years. The Modern Family actor proposed in September 2012 during a vacation in Mexico.
Before the big day, Jesse dished on why he and Justin wanted a big wedding in the Big Apple. “We wanted to get married in New York, because that’s where it’s legal, so we want to support the state that’s in support of us,” he touchingly told Us. “He means a lot to me, so it’s really special.”
The newlyweds co-designed a “TieTheKnot” bowtie collection to commemorate their union, and all the proceeds will be going towards groups focused on LGBT rights.
We’re so happy for these two lovebirds, and we really admire their decision to wed in NYC! Congratulations, Jesse and Justin!
Lindsey Gort Cast As Samantha Jones — ‘The Carrie Diaries’ Season 2 Scoop
According to HollywoodLife.com’s sister site TVLine, the show's producers are describing the introduction of Samantha's character during season two as follows:
Through a surprising connection, our young Carrie Bradshaw will meet one of the most important people in her life this season in a role made iconic by Kim Cattrall: Samantha Jones, a ballsy, beautiful and sexy young woman from the panhandle of Florida who has made her way — and already a name for herself — in the rock 'n' roll scene of 1980s NYC.
Just like the book series, Samantha is a cousin to Carrie Diaries' mean girl Donna LaDonna (Chloe Bridges).
"I'm really, really excited. I think it's going to be so much fun. I'm looking forward to seeing where that goes,” AnnaSophia Robb. who plays Carrie Bradshaw, told TVLine in May.
Lindsey is a vocalist and stage actress, but will soon star in 2 Guns alongside Denzel Washington and Mark Wahlberg. She has also appeared on Dancing With the Stars.
What do YOU think, HollywoodLifers? Will Lindsey Gort make a good Samantha Jones?

The cast of HBO’s bloody-good hit series previewed the second half of season six — even if one of them won’t make it to season seven.
With five episodes left beforeTrue Bloodbows out for another year, the HBO series’ cast had a lot of ground to cover July 20 during the show’s Comic-Con panel. Needless to say, Sookie’s (Anna Paquin) love life and the identity of this season’s buzzed-about victim were among the hottest topics of conversation.
‘True Blood’ Spoilers From Comic-Con
For starters, Annatold the crowd she’s glad Sookie isn’t as much of a “doormat” this season — I assume she’s referring to her bad-ass confrontation with Warlow last week — which means you probably shouldn’t hold out for a reunion between Sookie and Bill (Stephen Moyer) this season, either.
Speaking of complicated relationships, Sam Trammell acknowledged that Sam’s got bad luck in the lady department — “My girlfriends keep getting killed,” he pointed out. “I keep screwing the wrong people!” — so I guess it’s only a matter of time before Jurnee Smollett-Bell‘s character is six feet under, right next to Luna.
And here’s some good news for all you True Blood purists who miss the small-town feel of the first season: New showrunner Brian Buckner really wants to bring that back next season! He also wants to make sure the focus of the show remains on vampires and humans, rather than the billion other types of creatures we’ve met thus far.
Who’s Dying On ‘True Blood’ This Season?
OK, now for the part I know you’ve all been waiting for: While we still don’t know exactly who’s going to meet the true death — assuming it’s even a vampire — this season, the new footage screened at Comic-Con did show Sookie preparing to make a speech at a funeral. So, not only can we rule out Sookie being the victim, but we can also assume the departed is someone close to her. I mean, you wouldn’t expect her to give Pam (Kristin Bauer Van Straten) a eulogy, would you?
HollywoodLifers, what do you think will happen in the rest of season six? Who do you think will end up being the much-hyped victim? Drop a comment with your thoughts and predictions.
Lea Michele: ‘Grief-Stricken’ After Cory Monteith’s Death
“Lea is obviously very grief-stricken,” Ryan admits in an interview with our sister-site TV Line. “It’s been a very difficult thing for all of us, including Lea, to love someone who is an addict. It’s something all of us have been dealing with for many months.”
But Ryan is also quick to point out that Lea has shown unbelievable strength since Cory’s death. “She’s one of the strongest people I know,” Ryan says.
Lea Michele: Adamant That The Show Goes On
The Glee creator goes on to explain how the entire cast and crew looked to Lea when deciding how to handle filming the show after Cory’s death. In the end it was her amazingly selfless decision to only push back the production schedule one week:
She was very adamant that she thought it was best for the cast and crew to get back together sooner [rather] than later so that mortgages could be paid and people could take care of their families. Cory was so beloved that she felt people really needed to be together in this time. So we sort of followed her lead.
Lea Michele: Leaning On Her ‘Glee’ Family
Although Lea’s decision wasn’t completely selfless — Ryan reveals the truth that she has been looking forward to getting back to work so that she can lean on her Glee castmates.
“She wants people to be better and get back to work,” Ryan says. “She wants to be with people. The [Glee] family is her family.”
We are just heartbroken to hear how inconsolable Lea has been since Cory’s death, but she is also proving what an amazing person she really is. The decision to go back to work — where she will constantly be reminded of Cory — cannot be an easy one to make. But she is incredibly strong and also smart to realize that being with her Glee family is the best thing for her right now.
‘Glee’ co-creator Ryan Murphy finally opens up about Cory Monteith’s death and reveals to HollywoodLife.com’s sister site TVLine that Finn will die in the third episode this season and they’ll make sure ‘it’s a tribute to Cory.’
FOX recently announced thatproduction on Glee would be pushed back until August after Cory Monteith’s sad and sudden death on July 13. Furthermore, the musical dramedy's fifth season premiere would be pushed back one week, from Sept. 19 to Sept. 26. At the time, there was still no official word on how they’d handle Finn’s future on the series. Now, Glee co-creator Ryan Murphy breaks his silence and speaks out on how they’ll deal with Cory’s death and how it’ll affect the series.
Finn’s Death On ‘Glee’ — Ryan Murphy Says Tribute Planned For Episode 3
Ryan reveals to HollywoodLife.com’s sister site TVLine that the show plans to write Cory’s death into the series. He also explains how Glee will carry on without Finn.
We were supposed to be on in the fall with four episodes, and that's just not going to happen. So we're going to go on the air with two episodes and right now we're writing the third episode, which deals with Finn's death – which, you can imagine, is a very difficult episode to write. [It] has to be done very carefully and with a lot of taste and really making sure that it's a tribute to Cory. Then, who knows? Maybe we'll wait to shoot that. We really have to see how everybody feels… We're going to take a long writers' hiatus after that episode to refigure the season and continue to take care of the cast and crew and work on setting things up in Cory's honor – scholarships, what have you – because that's something we're dedicated to doing. It's just a crazy, really difficult, very emotional time. I think what we're really trying to do is deal with it as a family, which is what that group of people is. Lea is obviously very grief-stricken but she's also one of the strongest people I know. She wants people to be better and get back to work. So that's what we're going to do.
Furthermore, Ryan reveals that it was Cory’s Glee co-star and girlfriend, Lea Michele, that decided to only push back production for one week.
“We made no decisions without consulting Lea,” he said. “And she was very adamant that she thought it was best for the cast and crew to get back together sooner [rather] than later so that mortgages could be paid and people could take care of their families. Cory was so beloved that she felt people really needed to be together in this time. So we sort of followed her lead.”
How courageous. While Lea’s grieving, she’s still worrying about others.
The people behind the scenes of Kristen’s newest movie ‘Camp X-Ray,’ are totally impressed by how fully she’s devoted herself to her role. Is that hard work the perfect medicine for the actress to forget her ex?
Sometimes being a hardworking actress means a lot more than just memorizing lines and nailing down inflection and facial gestures. Just ask Kristen Stewart, who is currently playing a soldier who is shockingly deployed to the torture prison Guantanamo Bay in the upcoming military drama, Camp X-Ray.
Kristen Stewart Shows ‘Dedication’ To Filming ‘Camp X-Ray’
Based on Kristen’s laid back demeanor and penchant for denim, you wouldn’t think she’d be up for the grueling physical demands of her Camp X-Ray role. But think again.
Tactical Media Group, the company of military-trained men and women that is overseeing the production of the army scenes for Camp X-Ray only has amazing things to say about K-Stew’s work ethic. In a message posted on their Facebook on July 17, they praised the 23-year-old actress:
We are all so proud of Kristen Stewart and her dedication in training for her new role in CAMP XRAY. She is one of the hardest working actors we have ever trained, PERIOD. Her level of respect, admiration, and honor bestowed upon our nation’s military is truly mind blowing, and the transformation we saw in her within only a few days was nothing short of awe inspiring. Her fans will be in for a rare treat when CAMP XRAY hits theaters!!! From all of us here at TMG, we salute you Kristen and will always be here for you!!
Only Kristen could make a group of army guys gush like this!
Kristen Stewart: Working On ‘Camp X-Ray’ Helping Her Get Over Robert Pattinson
Getting back to work, especially with such a challenging role, may be exactly what K-Stew needs after her rocky split from Robert Pattinson. It’s a great distraction and one that will actually make her stronger — mentally and physically.
“Kristen is really happy to be back on set filming,” a source close to the actress told HollywoodLife.comexclusively. News of her happiness and dedication are great developments. Who knew that working her butt off would be the best thing for her?
Selena entered the West Hollywood salon with her patented wavy do, but walked out looking like a changed woman. The “Come & Get It” singer rocked a straightened style that made her slight highlights really pop.
The blowout sleek hairdo is visual proof that Selena is a growing woman — she’s no longer that young girl with the friendly wavy hair. She’s a fierce, rocking pop star with a hairstyle to match.
Selena Gomez’s New Hairstyle: Sending A Message To Justin Bieber?
The Biebs hit up the Darby and 1Oak in NYC where he got the attention of club-goers by waving his gold chain in the air like he just didn’t care. “Justin Bieber is shaking a diamond gold medallion in 1Oak. Probably the best thing I’ve ever seen,” tweeted Louise Dove, a British model with Elite Model Management.
A report claims that Justin then brought two girls back to his hotel, according to the New York Post.
Nothing says “You better not mess this up” to a boyfriend like a sexy new haircut. Especially one that’s fiery and hot as Selena’s. Justin is probably floored by the change-up and now wishing he wasn’t still on tour!
We obviously feel pretty passionately about the singer’s new style, but what do you think, HollywoodLifers? Vote below!
As Kate waits for the birth of her first royal child, a new report claims that she and Prince William have been going to great — and maybe even peculiar — lengths to make sure they’re ready for the big day.
Kate Middleton & Prince William Meet With Pregnancy Guru
They’ve even reportedly met with Christine Hill, a 65-year-old pediatric and obstetric physiotherapist who has been dubbed a “pregnancy guru,” according to The Telegraph.
The Duchess spent two sessions with Christine, who has also written a book titled Christine Hill’s Pregnancy Guide. Prince William accompanied Kate for the second visit.
“[They're] a very strong team,” Christine told The Telegraph. “Prince William will be doing the right stuff on the day.”
As for what the right stuff is, the guru also revealed the tips she gives first-time fathers. “I tell the fathers that the girl they hitched up with has gone for now — that she is fragile and vulnerable, and will be through pregnancy, labor and the first few weeks.” In other words, it’s up to William to be the strong and nurturing one.
Pregnancy Guru Tells Kate Middleton What Giving Birth Is REALLY Like
Christine also revealed that she was totally blunt and upfront with Kate about how hard giving birth is. “No one prepares you for the true ghastliness of birth. There’s a sort of whimsical attitude that it will all be lovely and that everyone can have a natural birth. But that’s not true.”
She didn’t do any sugarcoating in terms of preparing Kate for life after birth either! “Put a line through your calendar,” she says. “Accept that this is going to change your life, that you will stay in a nightdress for a week.”
Well it sounds like Kate had a pretty good, tough teacher to get her ready for motherhood. Now if she could just have the baby, right?
The cast & creators of ‘Once’ preview what’s to come: a little mermaid — and a big death!
I knew the Once Upon A Timepanel at Comic-Con would an exciting one — but I had no idea just how many huge reveals there would be! Not only are we going to say goodbye to an important character in season three, but we’re also going to say hello to one of the most anticipated Disney characters yet. And yes, this one’s got fins!
‘I Do Believe In Fairies!’
Bad news for Wendy: Once creators Adam Horowitz and Eddy Kitsis confirmed that Peter Pan’s cute-yet-obnoxious fairy sidekick Tinkerbell will be a part of the show’s third season.
But what form will she take? Will she be dark and creepy, like Once‘s version of Peter?
We were reminded that “anything can happen” in Neverland, and considering that world does include mermaids, it would certainly be a good excuse to casually slip the underwater princess into the mix.
Who’s Dying In Season 3?
Once Upon A Time is known for packing at least once shocking death into each season — I’m still mourning Sheriff Graham, and I ask for your privacy at this difficult time — but it sounds like the biggest is yet to come!
“My favorite kill is coming up in season three,” the Evil Queen herself, Lana Parrilla, told a stunned audience.
Any guesses? I’d love to see Regina put an end to either Neal or Tamara, as payment for messing with Henry.
R-Patz looked unbelievably good doing his best James Dean impression with a white tee on his back and a cigarette in his mouth while filming his latest movie in Toronto on July 19. This picture’s definitely going to make his girls Riley Keough and Kristen Stewart, miss him like crazy!
Robert Pattinsonwas at his very best on July 19, looking fiercely into a camera with a cigarette hanging seductively from his mouth while filming for his latest movie, Maps To The Stars. Now if you’ll excuse us, we need to go take a cold shower.
Robert Pattinson’s James Dean Impression: His Sexiest Look Ever?
R-Patz proved that he’s been learning from all those photo shoots he’s done for Dior Homme in this sexy on-set picture. Rob’s trimmed hair looked perfect and framed his chiseled looks amazingly, and the 27-year-old actor expressed an energy and confidence we’re not accustomed to seeing the way he stared daggers into the camera’s lens.
It was all topped off by Rob’s full-on James Dean regalia — the tight white t-shirt, the cigarette, the brooding. Riley Keoughhas to be happy she locked that down and Kristen Stewarton the other hand, we just hope she doesn’t see the picture. It might be too much to take!
Robert Pattinson Getting Intense For ‘Maps To The Stars’
Rob appears to be completely diving into his new part in Maps To The Stars, a drama that’s being described as a critical look at Hollywood and Western culture. In the film, Rob plays a limo driver and aspiring actor who befriends a girl recently released from a pyschiatric hospital (played by Mia Wasikowska).
Maps To The Stars is a complex flick for Rob to tackle and it will definitely be a challenge. But that’s alright with us, because look how great Rob looks being “challenged.”
