Over 200 guests were on hand for Jesse and Justin’s wedding, according to Us Weekly. The RSVP list was totally star-studded, including Padma Lakshmi, Jerry O’Connell, Rebecca Romijn, Zachary Quinto, Isaac Mizrahi, Nigel Barker, and Cat Deeley. And of course some of Jesse’s Modern Family castmates were in attendance like Julie Bowen, Ty Burrell, and Eric Stonestreet, who plays Jesse’s husband on the show.
The couple wed at 82 Mercer, a swanky space with hardwood floors and exposed brick walls, in Manhattan. The entire day was organized by planner, Bryan Rafanelli.
“There was a lot of laughter,” an insider told Us.
Jesse, 37, and Justin, 27, have been dating for nearly two years. The Modern Family actor proposed in September 2012 during a vacation in Mexico.
Before the big day, Jesse dished on why he and Justin wanted a big wedding in the Big Apple. “We wanted to get married in New York, because that’s where it’s legal, so we want to support the state that’s in support of us,” he touchingly told Us. “He means a lot to me, so it’s really special.”
The newlyweds co-designed a “TieTheKnot” bowtie collection to commemorate their union, and all the proceeds will be going towards groups focused on LGBT rights.
We’re so happy for these two lovebirds, and we really admire their decision to wed in NYC! Congratulations, Jesse and Justin!
