Chris, your on again girlfriend Rihanna must be so happy that you’ve basically dedicated your sixth upcoming album, X, to her.
Chris Brown, you’re blowing a wonderfully romantic kiss to the love of your life, Rihanna, in your new album, X. It’s the perfect response to Rihanna’s recent Unapologetic album which was a blatant declaration of her undying love for you!
Rihanna sang that you two were “beautiful like diamonds in the sky,” and that the decision to recommit to her relationship with you was Nobody’s Business in Unapologetic. You’ve responded with an expression of equal commitment.
You’ve called your album X, and it’s clear that it’s referring to the fact that a certain young woman ie. Karrueche Tran, is now decisively in your past — and that your sole romantic focus is Rihanna. You are no longer, very publicly torn between two women in a headline-making love triangle.
You’re Making A Very Public Commitment To Rihanna
“X is also a metaphor, as in ‘ex-girlfriend’, it implies you’re progressing and moving on in life, not holding on to the past and your old ways,” you told Rolling Stone, in a new interview.
In other words, you’re telling Rihanna and the world that you’ve given up your two-timing ways (among other things) and you’re making a whole-hearted commitment to your Robyn.
“Whether it’s personal or life experiences - my girl, my exes, love in general or just reality – I’m putting all that into this album,” you explained. ” That’s the basis of what X is and who Chris Brown is.”
Being honest and telling the world how important Rihanna is to you, is a wonderful way to return the public love that Rihanna has given to you.
Rihanna bravely confessed to Oprah in a television special that she “loved” you and subsequently explained in a January 2013 Rolling Stone interview that it “was more important for her to be happy” and that meant, reuniting with you. She couldn’t continue to “let anybody’s opinion get in the way” of her happiness anymore.
Rihanna Was Prepared To Face Critics, For You
She went out on a very big limb in public, knowing that she would be criticized for her decision to get back together with you. That’s why it’s so important that you decided to return her love with your new album.
“This album has a lot of substance from the subject matter and the situations to how it deals with love. It’s really derived from personal experiences,” you explained.
And what could be a more substantive statement to Rihanna, than making it clear with this album that your girlfriend of two years, Karreuche, is now and forever, an X.
Rihanna will also be happy that you’re sending the message with this album, that today “I’m just all about positivity and moving forward, being able to X out the negativity and stay on a focused path.”
That’s exactly what she wants you to do — be positive and leave the negative experiences you had together, in the past.
You’ve even written a song for Rihanna, that you recorded together, called Put It Up.
Let’s hope it makes it onto the album, showing once again how you two can make such beautiful music together!
What do you think, Hollywoodlifers? Is X going to be a musical love letter to Rihanna? Let me know what you think.
