Congratulations are in order! The hunky star of Stephenie Meyer’s new film ‘The Host’ is now off the market!
Jake Abel, 25, recently revealed he popped the question to his fashion blogger girlfriend, Allie Woods. ”We got engaged on New Year’s,” Jake announced in the collector’s edition of Us Weekly Special: The Host.
So, how does Jake’s new fiance feel about his newly acquired female following?
“So far, they’ve been really, really nice,” Jake explained to Us Weekly. “My fiancee is very supportive. She’s like, ‘Wear that! It’s more handsome. They’ll like you more!’ It’s good. I got a good one.”
But when asked about any wedding details, Jake was a little less candid. “I’m not telling you,” he said.
We wish the happy couple all the best! Send Jake and Allie your congratulations!
Jake Abel Compares ‘The Host’ To ‘Twilight’
Jake’s new film, The Host, is Stephenie Meyer‘s first post-Twilight film, so of course some Twilight comparisons are to be expected. Especially between Jake and the Twilight leading men, Taylor Lautner and Robert Pattinson. Although he doesn’t want to be compared to them, he admits he’s in good company.
"A lot of people expect us to knock the Twilight cast," Jake explains in the new issue of VMAN. "But Taylor Lautner is a really nice kid. Robert Pattinson, I couldn't imagine the tremendous amount of pressure he was under — and he earned my respect when I saw him fight for certain projects. Water For Elephants is a great novel, the movie is what it was. That's not his fault. That's the risk; we're the face of projects."
Ouch! That last comment was a little harsh!
