The actress is revealing that her ‘Glee’ dancing role isn’t the only thing that keeps her in shape, but also her two children!
In the April issue of Glamour, Kate Hudson is getting personal, sharing details about her kids’ privacy, growing up with her famous parents — Goldie Hawn and step-father Kurt Russell, and how her kids make her incredibly proud.
The mother of two shows off her amazing figure on the cover, topless, looking more radiant than ever. At 33, she has learned to deal with the fame. However, when her kids Ryder and Bingham get involved, she is very protective.
“The only thing that gets me angry is with [people who invade the privacy of] the kids,” she told the mag. ”It's the only place where I sort of go, Is this worth it?”
It’s worth it, Kate! You look stunning and seem to continue to succeed. However, she does admit that growing up with parents in the limelight has taught her a lot.
“There's a misconception that if you come from famous parents, you're seeking fame for the sake of fame,” she said. “I see it as the opposite — growing up with parents who were in the spotlight—it was almost like, Wow, if I didn't love to create characters, I would run as far away from fame as I could get. But I love performing.”
Kate Hudson Thanks ‘Glee’ And Kids For Hot Body
And we love to see her perform! On Glee, Kate plays Cassandra July, a sexy and harshly honest ex-Broadway star who is now Lea Michele (aka Rachel Berry)’s dance teacher at the New York Academy of Dramatic Arts. Kate described her as a “wonderfully nasty character,” and we’ve got to agree.
In the show, she constantly shows off her extremely toned abs. Abs that she has to thank her kids for. In addition to doing Pilates and dancing, of course, she claims that “running after Bing” is a big way that she keeps slim.
“He's sprinting!” she said about her 18-month-old son, Bing, who she had with fiancée Matthew Bellamy . “And he's got a natural mullet, which I'm cutting soon. It's growing only in the back, so we in the family say he takes after my Gogie—you know, Kurt— because Kurt was a mullet guy in the eighties. Bing's been singing too. He loves music.”
As for her older son, 9-year-old Ryder, she can’t say enough about how great a big brother he is.
“Ryder is the coolest cat—an amazing big brother, so patient and tolerant,” she said of her first son, who’s father is Kate’s ex-husband Chris Robinson. ”Bing pulls his hair, and Ryder just laughs. He's such a good person. I couldn't be a prouder mommy.”
Kate Had An Amazing Role Model
We don’t blame you, Kate! It’s also no surprise with the role models that she had growing up.
“I always remember my mom saying that there's only one thing in life she refused to fail at: raising her children,” Kate said of Goldie. “It just shows you it's very possible to do the thing that makes you happy and still raise a wonderful family.”
And wonderful, it is! Do you think Kate is a great mom, HollyMoms?
