In a recent radio interview, Demi Lovato shared that she has a half-sister that she just talked to for the very first time in her life. Read on for all the exciting details.
Demi Lovato got a huge surprise when she recently discovered that she has another sister. The singer reveals that she’s thrilled to finally get to know her long lost sibling, saying, “I actually have a third sister that I didn’t even know about until this year.”
Demi Lovato’s Half Sister — Singer Speaks To Secret Sibling For First Time
Demi spoke to Long Island web radio station WBLI on March 4 about her half-sister, whom she finally spoke with for the first time:
“I think my fans would be excited to learn that I just got to know..I have an older sister that I’ve never known my whole life. She’s in her thirties. She’s my half-sister, but I talked to her for the first time in my life when I turned 20.”
“I asked her ‘Why haven’t you ever contacted me?’ and she said ‘I never wanted you to think that I ever wanted anything from you, so I’ve just kind of been waiting to see you wanted a relationship.’ I thought that was so incredible!”
Demi also has two other sisters, one older and one younger, named Dallas and Madison. The name of her formerly secret half-sister was not revealed.
Demi Returning To ‘The X Factor’?
As HollywoodLife.com previously reported, Demi is likely to return as a judge and mentor on the next season of The X Factor. She will also be collaborating with Fifth Harmony on one of the group’s singles and during a live performance, if she returns.
Back in Dec. 2012, Demi told us, “I am always open to collaborations, and I would like to show these girls a 'Thank you,' and show them how much they have done for me. If I can help in [an] album in any way or to collaborate since they are so down to earth girls."
