Another week on ‘The Bachelorette,’ another sporting challenge for Desiree’s dudes. On the July 1 episode, Des’ guys got competitive on the soccer field, and this season’s villain finally got his comeuppance.
We travelled to Spain for the July 1 episode of The Bachelorette, where Desiree Hartsock made her men compete for her love. Literally. They compete in a soccer game, and love truly proves to be a battlefield on and off the pitch, as the guys confront one dude who seems to be taking Des for a ride. Plus, three guys are sent home.
One On One Date With Drew
Jeez Desiree really loves kissing. She and Drew went on a romantic date in the old town of Barcelona, and Drew confesses his love for Des. They stroll around holding hands, they have dinner and Des is swooning throughout.
After dragging Des down a lane way for a seriously hot make out session, Drew gets a rose. And then he ruins their beautiful moment by dissing James. Really Drew? What a cheap move; especially after getting the rose.
And Desiree is pissed! I sense James is going to get a serious comeuppance.
Murder On The Football Field
Des invites James, Juan, Brooks, Chris, Kasey and Michael to play soccer in one of Barcelona’s biggest soccer fields, and lets just say love is definitely a battlefield.
Des plays against the boys, and they act like typical chauvinistic pigs when they score two goals first. However, feminism prevails when Des and the ladies beat out by the boys by an over all score of 10-2. The boys are mad at James for being such a bad goalie, but I believe this is karma.
During the practice session, Des and Brooks get pretty close, and later in the evening they start making out. I think Brooks is about to get a rose, until a show down with James ruins the whole evening…
James Goes Down
The gossip police — aka Drew, Kasey and Michael confront James about something he said when the cameras were not rolling. How convenient. I’m waiting for the hair pulling and the biting to start.
James gets super irrational, and really looks guilty when he overreacts and lashes out.
Before tattle taling to Desiree, Kasey tells James “It’s like you are auditioning for the Jersey Shore.” Low blow, Kasey, low blow. No one gets a rose, and Desiree and James have a long intense conversation. And I mean intense!
Des should just send him home; he is clearly a bad egg. She really should send home all the boys — they are way too focused on each other instead of her.
James come home and the gossip police pretty much burn a hole through him with their stares. The following night, Drew and his beautiful hair decide to attack James again for his comments that he could be the next Bachelor, and Drew seriously has his panties in a bunch. Drew be quiet; you don’t have to date James.
Later, Des takes James outside to confront him. Just give up Des! He already admitted to cheating on his ex so there is no redeeming him. Des starts crying, but yet she STILL fails to send James home. Really — after those sweat patches?
James then tries to reason with the guys, who all explode at him again. Let’s be honest — as if not of the other guys have not thought about becoming The Bachelor? Annoying Michael and Kasey interrogate him more — their hair really blows in the wind on the balcony, and James is fed up. No doubt.
These guys are such a bunch of little girls! The only sane one is the love of my life, Chris.
One On One Date With Zak
Des takes the lovely Zak on a drama free one on one date, and they go for an art lesson. They drew each other and it’s safe to say neither one should quit their day job. After that, they draw a guy naked and things get weird… Zak is about to pose nude, but thankfully — or not depending on your preferences — he is just kidding.
After a romantic dinner and some make out time, Des gives Zak a rose. It gets freaky when they go into an underground tunnel, but then I realize that Des just wants to get adventurous with her kissing spots. Girl after my own heart.
Elimination At The Rose Ceremony
They boys suit up for the rose ceremony, and you things get serious when the dramatic music plays. Des gets faux emotional when making her choices.
James, Kasey and Juan Pablo are sent home. Juan weeps, Kasey smiles and James makes a dramatic exit. And now we are down to the final five!
Makeout count: #3
What do YOU think HollywoodLifers? Are you shocked that James was eliminated?
