Kristen Stewart had the best hair by far at the 26th Annual Kids’ Choice Awards! Now, the hairstylist who created the amazing look has made a step-by-step video so you can do Kristen’s fun fishtail at home!
Celebrity hairstylist Adir Abergel recreates the amazingly un-done braid that Kristen Stewart wore at the Kids’ Choice Awards on March 23 in an exclusive video for Teen Vogue. Watch the simple demonstration below and find out the exact products used on Kristen!
Kristen Stewart’s KCA Hair — Get Her Braided Beauty Look
“I kind of created a french braid that went into a fishtail braid. You want it to look messy and un-done and really kind of messed up. This is a really easy style to re-create. The key is to start with Fekkai Luscious Curls — this will help enhance your texture. So you’re gonna take this product and just spray it all over your hair and what this will do is, it will just enhance your natural texture. Again, we want the hair to be messy and un-done, it’s kind of my signature style,” Adir explains.
Spray it everywhere and let hair air dry.
“Next, take Fekkai Glossing Cream, rub it on your hands and rub it through the ends. Don’t be scared to mess up the texture.”
“Very loosely, take the hair and start french braiding it. Start right below the crown. Start french braiding it very, very loosely. Once you’re a little bit down the way with the french braid, start the fishtail braid. With a fishtail braid, you want to start taking from the ends of each section and weaving that in. Take the ends, pull it over and follow it to the end.” Use a clear elastic band to secure the end.
Having the braid messy and un-done “makes it cool and hip and fresh,” Adir says. He mentions that it works with a prom dress or jeans and a tee!
Finishing The Look
After the braid is done and you’ve pulled out the ends (watch Adir do it below), spray liberally with Fekkai Coif Sheer Hold Hairspray.
