While Michelle Obama opted for a custom-made coat and dress combo by New York-based designer Thom Browne for Inauguration Day on Jan. 21, Beyonce went for full-on glamour — even if she was singing the National Anthem outside in the afternoon. Dressed in a form-fitting, long-sleeved Emilio Pucci gown with velvet detailing, it was her emerald jewelry that really caught our attention — and Bey definitely isn’t one to shy away from making a statement! Beyonce piled on the jewels for her inaugural look, adding a bright pop of color to her black Pucci dress and Christian Dior coat. The 31-year-old selected Lorraine Schwartz emeralds for the occasion, and she was literally dripping in them, with 130 carats decorating her ears and her hand. The NY Post reports that her jewelry easily cost over $2.5 million, (the whopping price of Angelina Jolie‘s 115-carat emerald baubles). While the singer’s jewels were certainly pricy, she definitely didn’t cut corners with her dress! In fact, a shorter version of the velvet embellished Pucci gown Bey wore currently retails for $4,600. Even if she was dressed rather formal, the star did a phenomenal job when she belted out the National Anthem for the Inauguration. Instead, he’s rallying fans to support him while he’s behind bars! South Side rapper Chief Keef is making good use of his time at the Illinois juvenile detention center, after he was sentenced to a 60-day sentence on Jan. 17 following his probation violation. The 17-year-old is now advertising “Free Sosa” T-shirts through his Twitter, and they are proving so popular the online store crashed! “Sosa” is Chief Keef’s nickname and a lyric in his song “Love Sosa”, and these T-shirts are proving popular with fans who wish to have him released early from his detainment. Chief Keef Tweets About ‘Free Sosa’ T Shirts Chief Keef (real name: Keith Cozart) was arrested on Jan. 15, when a judge ruled a video of him shooting a semiautomatic rifle at a New York gun range violated his probation from a 2011 gun conviction. The young rapper began his detainment immediately after his hearing on Jan. 17, and now he is rebelling through the medium of fashion! Shocker: Dallas Poised to [Spoiler] J.R.! Jan 22nd 2013, 14:31 TNT’s Dallas is taking a page from the original series’ playbook to explain J.R. Ewing’s sudden exit. According to TV Guide Magazine, the iconic villain — played by the late Larry Hagman — will be murdered by an unknown assailant towards the middle of the show’s upcoming second season. The plot, of course, harkens back to the show’s classic 1980 “Who Shot J.R.” cliffhanger. “We all felt having J.R. die of natural causes would have been completely inappropriate, not only to the character, but also to Larry Hagman,” exec producer Cynthia Cidre told the mag. Lupe Fiasco Thrown Out For Anti-Obama Rap At Pre-Inauguration Party Jan 22nd 2013, 14:16 The rapper was invited to perform a concert on Jan. 20 at a private pre-inauguration event, but was escorted off stage when he started rapping his song ‘Words I Never Said,’ which calls out Obama for being a bad president! Read on for more details. Rapper Lupe Fiasco was asked to perform a show as part of a pre-inauguration celebration in Washington D.C. on Jan. 20, only to be asked to leave after he went on an anti-Obama rant — and called him out for being a bad president! The private party was hosted on Jan. 20 by the start-up group Hypervocal and was supposed to help kick off the 2013 Presidential Inauguration events. It listed Lupe Fiasco has its headliner, but didn’t seem to screen his entire set list before he performed. As part of his set, Lupe performed his 2011 song “Words I Never Said,” which has a politically-charged message. The part of his lyrics that set people off: “Gaza strip was getting bombed, Obama didn't say s—t That’s why I ain’t vote for him, next one either I'm a part of the problem, my problem is I'm peaceful And I believe in the people.” Another part of the same song adds: “I really think the war on terror is a bunch of bullshit Just a poor excuse for you to use up all your bullets How much money does it take to really make a full clip 9/11 building 7 did they really pull it Uhh, And a bunch of other cover ups.” During his performance, Lupe was interrupted by security guards who asked him to stop — and escorted him off the stage! Hypervocal Speaks Out After Concert Fiasco In an official statement, the startup group  revealed the real reason they interrupted the rapper. “We are staunch supporters of free speech, and free political speech,” their statement read. “This was not about his opinions.
