The singer was dripping in jewelry for her inaugural performance — and we have all the details on her lavish look right here!

While Michelle Obama opted for a custom-made coat and dress combo by New York-based designer Thom Browne for Inauguration Day on Jan. 21, Beyonce went for full-on glamour — even if she was singing the National Anthem outside in the afternoon. Dressed in a form-fitting, long-sleeved Emilio Pucci gown with velvet detailing, it was her emerald jewelry that really caught our attention — and Bey definitely isn’t one to shy away from making a statement!

Beyonce piled on the jewels for her inaugural look, adding a bright pop of color to her black Pucci dress and Christian Dior coat. The 31-year-old selected Lorraine Schwartz emeralds for the occasion, and she was literally dripping in them, with 130 carats decorating her ears and her hand. The NY Post reports that her jewelry easily cost over $2.5 million, (the whopping price of Angelina Jolie‘s 115-carat emerald baubles).

While the singer’s jewels were certainly pricy, she definitely didn’t cut corners with her dress! In fact, a shorter version of the velvet embellished Pucci gown Bey wore currently retails for $4,600.

Even if she was dressed rather formal, the star did a phenomenal job when she belted out the National Anthem for the Inauguration. I love that Bey always unleashes her inner diva and makes a fashion statement, and that’s exactly what she did when she wowed the crowd.

What do you think of Beyonce’s look last night? Was it totally gorgeous or way too over the top for the afternoon occasion?
