Exclusive: Breaking Bad's Matt Jones Joins CBS' Chuck Lorre Pilot Mom as Anna Faris' Ex Feb 12th 2013, 02:50 Matt Jones has been cast as a dad in CBS’ Chuck Lorre-produced comedy pilot Mom, TVLine has learned exclusively. The multi-camera comedy centers on the newly sober Christy, a single mom trying to pull her life together in the Napa Valley. The West Wing‘s Allison Janney plays Faris’ character’s mom. Jones is a Breaking Bad grad — he played Jesse’s pal Badger — who also has appeared on Hawaii Five-0 and NCIS and plays Zeke in the upcoming “The Farm” episode of NBC’s The Office. TVLine also has learned that Spencer Daniels — best known as Meredith’s son Jake on The Office — has been cast as Luke, the boyfriend of Christy’s daughter Violet. 'Storage Wars' Star Mark Balelo Kills Himself After Drug Arrest Feb 12th 2013, 02:40 Mark committed suicide on Feb. 11 after an arrest for a drug-related offense just days before. So sad. Mark Balelo, one of the stars of A&E’s Storage Wars took his own life on Feb. 11 by way of carbon monoxide poisoning, TMZ reports. The reality star had previously been arrested on Feb. 9 for a drug-related offense. Multiple sources tell the website that Mark was found dead in his car, which had been parked and left running in the garage at his auction house in Simi Valley, CA. Upon release from his arrest on the 9th, sources say he was distraught and had asked his fiancée to come over in fear that he might hurt himself. The couple reportedly met at his office on Sunday, Feb. 10, where they talked for a few hours before Mark took a four hour nap. When he woke up, he was said to have seemed better. His fiancée left him at his office that evening. One of Mark’s employees found his body the following morning, Feb. 11. Law enforcement sources tell TMZ that an autopsy will be conducted on Feb. 12. Mark had appeared on a number of Storage Wars episodes over the past few seasons. Our thoughts remain with Mark’s family and friends during their time of loss. 'The Originals' Scoop: Leah Pipes Joins 'Vampire Diaries' Spin-Off Feb 12th 2013, 02:06 Leah will play Camille, an intelligent human with no knowledge of vampires — yet. The Originals is getting its first taste of human blood! Leah Pipes has been cast on the back-door pilot of The Vampire Diaries‘ spin-off as Camille, described by The Hollywood Reporter as a college psychology student fascinated by the study of human behavior unaware of the supernatural universe that exists around her.” Of course, if she’s anything like Elena (Nina Dobrev), it won’t take long for her to figure out her supernatural surroundings! Though there’s already a ton of hype surrounding The Originals, it hasn’t officially been picked up for The CW’s 2013-2014 season. It will air as a back-door pilot April 25, when fans will get their first bite — so to speak — of what’s to come. Joseph Morgan will star in the potential spin-off as the original Original Klaus, who returns to New Orleans to raise a little hell. (Well, a little more hell.) It was recently announced that The Game actor Charles Michael Davis will play Marcel, Klaus’ former protegé, who is described as “wicked, wild and charismatic.” Daniel Gillies will also be reprising his Vampire Diaries character Elijah, and will be forced to align himself with Marcel’s enemies in order to help Klaus “find redemption.” (Sounds like Elijah will be playing the Stefan to Klaus’ Damon this time around, no?) Also on board The Originals is Phoebe Tonkin, who will continue to play Hayley; and Daniella Pineda and Danielle Campbell, who will originate the bewitching roles of Sophie and Davina. It sounds like this pilot, which will be written by The Vampire Diaries‘ executive producer Julie Plec, is really starting to take shape! 'Buckwild' Star Salwa Amin Arrested In Drug Raid Feb 12th 2013, 01:45 It sounds like Salwa might be a little more wild than her MTV bosses had hoped. The reality star was arrested on Feb. 10 in a drug raid outside of Charleston, WV! Read on for all the details. With a show called Buckwild, you’d expect the cast members to be a little out of control, but who saw this coming? Salwa Amin, the 24-year-old star of MTV’s new reality show, was arrested on Feb. 10 during a drug raid that turned up Oxycodone and heroin! Summersville Police Chief J. Nowak spoke with E! News, telling the outlet that Salwa was arrested alongside two other men after an informant revealed to the drug task force that a shipment of narcotics was being delivered to a home using a car with Michigan license plates. ‘Buckwild’s Salwa Amin Caught With Oxycodone After receiving the tip, the authorities immediately began surveilling the Nicholas County property and quickly noticed the home’s frequent in-and-out foot traffic. Once a search warrant was obtained, the officers moved in and found the MTV star and two men, Shawn Booker and Jason Jones, the owner of the house, hiding in a shed outside. After a search, a large quantity of Oxycodone was found in Salwa’s purse, while Shawn had a large amount of cash on his person. On top of that, three bags of heroin were found in the shed! Chief Nowak said that Jason told officers that Salwa and Shawn had brought the drugs to his house to later distribute to other parties. All three have been charged with possession on intent to deliver. As of press time, they remain in county jail with bail set at $200,000. ‘Buckwild’ Season 2 — Without Salwa? The seriousness of this charge almost certainly means that Salwa will not be involved in the recently ordered second season of Buckwild. The first season of the show, MTV’s attempt at replicating the magic of Jersey Shore with small town West Virginia youth, premiered on Jan. 3. Pilot Scoop: Andre Braugher Cast as Andy Samberg's Boss in Fox Police Comedy Feb 12th 2013, 01:15 Andre Braugher must love playing a man in uniform. The Last Resort star has signed on as a police captain in Fox’s cop-comedy pilot starring Saturday Night Live alum Andy Samberg. RELATED | TVLine’s 2013 Renewal Scorecard: What’s Coming Back? What’s Getting Cancelled? What’s on the Bubble? Braugher will play Capt. Holt, a 30-year veteran of the New York City police force. Holt has finally gotten his own command and he’s not going to let anyone — especially Samberg’s Jake — mess it up. Parks and Recreation co-creator Mike Schur and executive producer Dan Goor are behind the single-camera project, which revolves around a diverse group of detectives in a precinct at the very edge of the Big Apple. Samberg also will produce. Braugher joins the previously cast Melissa Fumero (One Life to Live), who’ll play the show’s female lead. Braugher led the Colorado on ABC’s cancelled Last Resort, which recently wrapped its first and only season.
