A Family Friend Calls Ashley ‘Fabulous’ & Reveals She Did Suffer From Depression

We spoke to a family friend who tells us that Ashley did suffer from depression but that should not overshadow her life.

“We haven’t wrapped our heads around the situation,” the friend who wished to be unidentified tells us. “She suffered from depression and put up a hard fight. Her favorite book was Eat Pray Love and she highlighted it and put post-its all over the book and her apartment would have saying from the book everywhere. She would talk to her mom and sister about their life path. She did everything she could to pull herself out of the depression. She was a fabulous girl.”

The friend also tells us that if any of the girls listed in the suicide note by Ashley show up to the funeral “they will be politely asked to leave.”

Ashley’s Tragic Death

We told you that Ashley leapt off the George Washington Bridge into the Hudson River on Feb. 6 leaving behind a note in her Louis Vuitton bag.

The note read: “To any funeral, these people should not be allowed based upon words and actions.”
