Are Justin’s friends and his recent break up with Selena Gomez leading him down the wrong path? Will Smith is allegedly serving as a ‘father figure’ to the Biebs in an attempt to get his life back on track!
Will Smith, a former child star himself, gave Justin Bieber some great advice after his London tour turned a bit chaotic over the past week.
Justin tweeted on March 10, “love to big man Will Smith for the great talk yesterday. We know the truth and we must stand tall. Love u man! thanks!”
Will has been in London, chaperoning his 14-year-old son Jaden Smith, who is one of three opening acts on Justin’s Believe Acoustic tour. The former Fresh Prince of Bel Air star has been acting as a “father figure” in the absence of Justin’s own mom Pattie Mallette, according to Mail Online.
The “Boyfriend” singer’s tour has been marred in controversy recently. He showed up two hours late for his show on March 4, was hospitalized due to shortness of breath on March 8, and lashed out at a photographer on March 9.
Angie Simpson, 16-year-old Australian singer Cody Simpson’s mom, said: “Will has been helping Justin out a lot, mentoring him and offering him guidance. He's someone who is used to this level of scrutiny and it has helped having him around. Justin is an adult and has a very strong, loyal and professional team around him, but it is hard for anyone to come under such pressure.” Cody is another one of Justin’s opening acts.
Before Will came into the picture, Justin was surrounding himself with friends such as Lil Twist and Lil Za, who are often referred to as bad influences for Justin.
“You have to look at the people he is hanging out with. They are very distinct from the group of professionals around him, like his manager, who do a terrific job guiding his career and caring for him. Justin's issues really started when he started hanging out with this undesirable crowd,” a source tells Mail Online.
Also, Justin’s break up with Selena Gomez doesn’t seem to be helping matters.
A friend of Selena's said, “Selena was a calming influence on Justin. She is two years older than him and he listened to and respected her. Everyone is hoping this recent behavior is just growing pains and not the start of a more serious problem. Only time will tell.”
Let’s hope Will guides Justin in the right direction!
