The best part of Independence Day doesn’t happen until nighttime, when our favorite stars take the stage to help Macy’s celebrate the holiday. This year’s show is stocked with stars like Selena Gomez and Taylor Swift, and you can watch the whole thing online!
Sure, the Fourth of July is known for its barbecues and sunny daytime parties, but the real party starts with the 37th annual “Macy’s Fourth Of July Spectacular.” Besides putting on an amazing fireworks display, the show will also feature awesome performances by Selena Gomez, Taylor Swift, and more. And this year, you don’t even have to leave your laptop’s side to catch all the action!

That’s right, Selena will be taking the stage — what a way to celebrate America’s birthday. Her performance was actually filmed a few days earlier at Liberty Park in New Jersey, so we’ve already gotten a sneak peek at the sexy, high energy stuff Selena will bring to the table. And boy do we want to see more!
Selena’s BFF, Taylor will also be performing, and while we haven’t seen her performance yet, we really hope she plays “Red.” It’s just too bad she hasn’t written any songs called “White and Blue.”
‘Macy’s Fourth Of July Spectacular’: More Than Just Fireworks
But our two favorite starlets aren’t the only ones breaking it down for Independence Day. The show, hosted by Nick Cannon, also features performances by Mariah Carey (nice little family integration, huh?), Tim McGraw, and Pitbull.
Finally, the most important event of the night — the fireworks. This year’s display, which will be shot off over the Hudson River in New York City, is extra special. That’s because it will feature a collaboration with the one and only Usher for the first time ever. The singer will be putting his creative stamp on the fireworks show, which he’s calling “It Begins With a Spark.” They had us at fireworks, but what an amazing bonus Usher is!
