Jodi Arias On Death Penalty: I'm Ready To 'Meet My Maker' May 22nd 2013, 13:42 Just minutes after Jodi gave an emotional plea to the jury on May 21 about why her life should be spared, she told a reporter that she still has a lot of ‘hope.’ Jodi Arias wants to live. Jodi is awaiting her fate as the jury deliberates her first degree murder sentence and she says in a new interview that she hopes the jury doesn’t sentence her to death. Jodi was found guilty of brutally murdering her ex-boyfriend Travis Alexander in 2008 but she believes that she can do a lot of good if allowed to carry out a life sentence in prison. Jodi Arias On Death Penalty — Ready To Meet God Jodi said she was “shocked” when she was found guilty of first degree murder on May 8. “I didn't expect to walk away,” she said. “But I did not think it would be first degree.” Although she previously said she wants the death penalty, she is begging for her life. “Well I’m ready to meet my maker,” she said. “If that time should come, but if that’s their decision it would drag on for years and years so its not really contemporaneous.” Jodi also told the reporter that she often has nightmares in jail. “I’ve been told I scream and cry in my sleep and several times I've woken myself up screaming,” she said. “I don’t have memories of the nightmares, so I’m not sure what I’m dreaming about. Carey Mulligan Looks Gorgeous At 'Gatsby' Australia Premiere May 22nd 2013, 13:31 After showing off a slew of gowns in Cannes, the star rocked a pink corset top and black pants for the Sydney premiere. Carey Mulligan looked feminine and chic in Moore Park on May 22, in Sydney, Australia, where she was busy promoting The Great Gatsby. The 27-year-old actress who plays Daisy Buchanan opted for stylish separates. What did you guys think of her outfit? Carey Mulligan’s ‘Great Gatsby’ Australia Premiere Outfit: The star once again opted for a minimalistic approach to the red carpet. Carey usually sticks to neutral colors like pink and black, and we saw a lot of those shades for many of her recent premieres of her new film! In Cannes, she donned an elegant black jumpsuit and in Australia her most recent ensemble consisted of a beautiful lace scalloped Nina Ricci corset top paired with form-fitting, high-waisted black Lanvin pants with a leather band around the waist. She let her wavy golden locks hang loose and went for natural makeup. She added a bright red lip to add a pop of color. She completed the look with minimal Tiffany & Co. jewelry and the same Saint Laurent heels that she debuted in Cannes when she wore her black jumpsuit — they’re too cute too only wear once! Tiger Woods and Sergio Garcia are set to face off during the 2013 U.S. Open, but the Spanish pro golfer took the rivalry to a new extreme when he made a racially offensive comment towards Tiger at an awards dinner. Sergio Garcia Says He’ll Serve Tiger Woods ‘Fried Chicken’ During the European Tour’s awards dinner on May 21, Sergio made a racist comment when someone asked him jokingly if he was going to have his rival Tiger over for dinner during the U.S. Open. “We will have him round every night. We will serve fried chicken,” he said. The racially-charged comment shocked attendees and the public after The Guardian published the remark, especially since Tiger’s dad is African American. Sergio Garcia Apologizes For Fried Chicken Comment After he made the statement, the Spanish golfer released a statement in which he apologized for the comments. “I apologise for any offence that may have been caused by my comment on stage during The European Tour Players’ Awards dinner. I answered a question that was clearly made towards me as a joke with a silly remark, but in no way was the comment meant in a racist manner,” Sergio said in a statement. Movie reviewer Jill Pantozzi slammed the film for the misogynistic scene in a harsh online review. ‘Star Trek Into Darkness’ — Underwear Scene ‘For No Reason’ Jill took to her personal website to reveal her disdain for the film — especially the scene of Dr. Carol Marcus in her bra and panties. “Suffice to say, her purpose in the film was minimal and they made her stand around in underwear for absolutely no reason.
