Pattie Mallette was reported to have wanted her son Justin Bieber to reunite with Selena Gomez, and now she reveals why she is eager for a reunion! As previously reported by HollywoodLife.com, Pattie was gunning for a Jelena reunion because she thinks that Selena is a good influence on Justin. Then, on the TODAY show on Feb. 7, she called Selena a “sweetheart.” Read on to see what Pattie thinks Justin has made a mistake.
Pattie Mallette Talks About Justin Bieber & Selena Gomez’s Relationship
Pattie, 37 appeared on the New York City based show, where she was grilled over Justin, 18, and Selena’s relationship. It is so clear that she is upset that Selena, 20, is no longer a permanent fixture in her life.
“You know, I just try and support whatever he’s wanting,” Pattie said to host Savannah Guthrie. “I think she’s [Selena] a sweetheart, and whatever they decide is great.”
Pattie then said it is “tough letting go and letting our kids make the mistakes they need to make” as they get older. So she is openly admitting that Justin letting Selena go is a mistake! She added that she hopes Justin will “learn from my mistakes” as he gets older.
Like many Jelena fans, Pattie wants the pop pair to get back together. Considering that Justin and Selena are both in NYC at the moment, she may get her wish!
Pattie Talks About Justin’s ‘SNL’ Gig
Justin is in New York to host Saturday Night Live on Feb. 9, for which they have already released a funny promo video.
Speaking about Justin’s new comedy gig, Pattie said, “I think we’re both nervous! He’s been rehearsing all week and practicing and helping write skits. He’s excited.”
We are excited too! Selena is also in New York, where she attended an Adidas Neo fashion show on Feb. 6. Will they meet up? Watch this space!
