John Chu directed Justin Bieber’s film ‘Never Say Never.’ But now, he’s moved on to action movies and directing the new film ‘G.I. Joe: Retaliation.’ He EXCLUSIVELY told HollywoodLife.com about a role Justin could have played in the movie!
It wasn’t an easy transition for director John Chu. After directing Never Say Never and getting very close with Justin Bieber, he then moved on to G.I. Joe: Retaliation, a movie with a lot more action scenes.
‘Never Say Never’ Director Speaks Out On Justin Bieber
“I got so much crap from Dwayne [Johnson] when he came onto the movie about working with Justin and that was fun,” John told HollywoodLife.com before the film’s junket. ”I was working with so many big and tough guys coming from a not-so-tough movie like Never Say Never, which ended up making things really fun.“
However, he admitted that it would have been entertaining to have Justin on the set.
“It would have been fun to have him as a soldier that just gets blown to pieces,” he laughed. “I think fans would have loved that.”
Justin Could Start Acting Again Soon
After his documentary, Justin could be back on the big screen soon! With the TV show Entourage turning into a movie, actor Adrian Grenier wouldn’t be opposed to Justin joining the set, he exclusively told HollywoodLife.com.
“Can I say Justin Bieber?” Adrian said when we asked who he’d love to star in the film. “Is that cool? I saw his documentary and thought he was so cool. I think he would be great!”
