HollywoodLife interviewed Chris Brown EXCLUSIVELY about his new album, ‘Fine China,’ and his relationship with Rihanna. But there was one thing the R&B singer kept coming back to during our conversation — love. Keep reading to see what Chris had to say!

Chris Brown is at the beginning of a new chapter in his life. He’s just months away from releasing his sixth studio album, X, and his relationship with Rihanna is flourishing, the couple’s violent past a distant memory. The new Chris Brown has a lot to do with his current outlook on life, as we discovered during our EXCLUSIVE interview with the singer.

Chris Brown: ‘Love Is The Focus’

Talking to us about his single “Fina China,” Chris says, “Love is the focus. We need more of that element in life and in everything we do.”

Chris’ newfound focus on love is evident in the song’s lyrics — “When you’re mine, I’ll be generous/You’re irreplaceable,” is the crux of the chorus — but he has made it even clearer through his extensive charity work.

Over the past few months, Chris has become even more involved in his charity Symphonic Love Foundation, which supports and creates arts programs for youth while encouraging every day public service, respect and kindness. On Feb. 9, Chris doubled SL’s generosity, awarding 11 young people scholarships to the Debbie Allen Dance Academy instead of the five he had initially promised.

And more recently on Mar. 27, Chris led SL’s “Global Best Buddies Day,” which aimed to raise awareness and respect for people with intellectual and developmental disabilities around the world. Chris spent the whole day painting murals with his Buddies!

Chris Brown: ‘X’ Focuses On ‘All Things Positive’

Chris has put his troubled past behind him — the negative headlines AND the bad attitude — and moved on to being a kinder, more loving human being. He hopes that his new album can speak towards that: “I'm focused on moving forward and all things positive,” he told us, adding, “I want my music to speak for itself and to speak for me.”
