Leaving a Los Angeles courthouse on Apr. 12, Kim Kardashian made it known that she’s basically at princess status. She looked just like Kate Middleton, being walked to her chauffeured car by a large team of guards!

It was quite the spectacle. With at least ten burly officers forming a tight circle for protection, you could barely make out Kim in the middle — looking gorgeous and graceful in white — walking from the courthouse to her car.
The Los Angeles County sheriffs guaranteed that Kim had the utmost protection, and that no trouble was going to come at her. Wow — just put Kim in that car with the glass box and she would look just like the pope!
Kris Humphries: Was The Settlement Meeting Mandatory?
Even though Kim’s safety was well under control on Apr. 12, she hardly looked happy. That’s because inside the courthouse, Kim and her ex-husband Kris Humphries were unable to reach a settlement, meaning that a trial will have to take place.
The couple’s inability to settle was no doubt influenced by Kris’ complete disregard of the court proceedings — he didn’t even show up!
Kris’ no-show has been blown out of proportion, though. A source tells HollywoodLife.com that the meeting was NOT mandatory and that Kim’s lawyer Laura Wasser purposely fabricated stories that the case’s judge was fuming mad at Kris. “Just another Kardashian controlled situation,” the source says. That being said, it’s very hard to reach a divorce settlement when only one party is present.
Kim Kardashian & Kris Humphries Going To Trial
Because Kim and Kris have failed to reach an agreement, their divorce will go to trial. “The trial is proceeding as scheduled,” Kris’ lawyer Lee Hutton told Radar Online. To reiterate, Kris believes he was duped into marrying Kim for television, and he wishes to get their marriage annulled. Kim has vehemently denied these claims and requests that the judge grant her a divorce.
