The most competitive player in the NBA is not taking his season-ending injury well at all! On Apr. 13, a day after rupturing his Achilles tendon, Kobe took to Facebook to express his overflowing frustration. Keep reading to see his rant!

Kobe Bryant isn’t happy when his team wins — he can always be better — so it’s no surprise that he’s boiling with rage after suffering a season-ending leg injury on Apr. 12. Overcome with anger and frustration, Kobe ranted on Facebook to get his emotions out.

Kobe Bryant Vents On Facebook After Bad Injury

“This is such BS!” Kobe began the post. “All the training and sacrifice just flew out the window with one step that I’ve done millions of times! The frustration is unbearable. The anger is rage. Why the hell did this happen ?!? Makes no damn sense.”

The 35-year-old Kobe actually showed some vulnerability, writing that he’s nervous about whether he’ll be able to make a full recovery: “I’m supposed to come back from this and be the same player Or better at 35?!? How in the world am I supposed to do that?? I have NO CLUE,” Kobe stated, before also admitting that perhaps, “Father Time has defeated me.”

Kobe Bryant Will Not Give Up

But then the Black Mamba’s true character began to shine through the anger and fear, and Kobe’s Facebook post became determined and inspirational. “One day, the beginning of a new career journey will commence. Today is NOT that day,” Kobe wrote.

“‘If you see me in a fight with a bear, pray for the bear’. Ive always loved that quote. Thats ‘mamba mentality’ we don’t quit, we don’t cower, we don’t run. We endure and conquer.”

Kobe Bryant Exposes Himself On Facebook

Kobe ended his long Facebook rant by praising his teammates, expressing his faith in them and stating that they will come through even without him. Meanwhile, he’ll be on the bench acting as an assistant coach.

We love that Kobe put himself out there like this. So many athletes would just put on a strong, stoic face and hide from the media. But Kobe let us experience his gamut of emotions, and we really feel like we know what he’s going through now.
