She’s trapped in New York City, where she has multiple concerts scheduled over the next few days. “Just because he loves her doesn’t mean he has to be by her side every minute of his life,” the source says. Though he does insist that Rihanna is Chris’ “number one” and that he “wishes she could be with him on his birthday,” the source is also quick to point out that their relationship is strong enough to take a road bump or two.
“They’re cool. They’re not joined at the hip,” the source says. “They ain’t going to die if they don’t see each other.” You know what? That is cool — a healthy couple shouldn’t be conjoined 24/7 and it shouldn’t be a big deal if commitments get in the way of spending time together every so often. Confidence and secureness are key to a long-lasting relationship.
Chris Brown’s 24th Birthday Weekend
Chris kicked off his birthday festivities on May 3 with a blowout party at the Emerson Theater in Los Angeles. Stars came out by the dozens to wish the R&B star a happy birthday.
And the party will continue on May 4, as Chris plans to hit up 1 Oak in Las Vegas, Nev. to truly ring in his birthday with a blast. And you know RiRi will be there in spirit.
