Carly Rae should stick to her day job! The singer threw the opening pitch for the Tampa Bay Rays, and it was not exactly a home run… Watch her first pitch here.

Carly Rae Jepsen, 27, obviously did not wish for a solid throwing arm when she threw that wish in the well! The “Call Me Maybe” singer threw the opening pitch at the July 14 game between the Tampa Bay Rays and Houston Astros in St. Petersburg, Fla., and it was called the “worst ever” opening pitch. Yikes!

Carly Rae Jepsen — Not A Sports Star

Carly threw the ball, and it was barely air born before it and slowly crept past the first base line, and it even knocked a camera out of a photographer’s hands in the process! Rays Pitcher Matt Moore had to run after the ball, while Carly giggled with embarrassment.

“So apparently I made ESPN with my fail of a pitch. Lol- Daddy must be so proud,” tweeted Carly after. At least she has a sense of humor about it all!

It’s just too bad, because Carly did a really good job during the warm up.

“We saw her warming up and she was giving strike after strike,” one of the Rays’ commentators noted, saying of the messed up pitch, “She just held on to it a little bit too long right there.”

Honestly, she was not as bad as Mariah Carey, who literally threw the ball right to the floor when she did her opening pitch!

What do YOU think HollywoodLifers? Is this the worst pitch ever thrown?
