A week after Miley drummed up a whole mess of controversy — and aggravated her fiance in the process — at the VMAs, Liam hopped on a flight to London to party and spend some quality time with his brother, Chris Hemsworth. Is this a bad sign for Miley and Liam’s relationship?
Liam Hemsworth has retreated to his family after Miley Cyrus twerked him into submission at the VMAs on Aug. 25. So while Liam hung out with his older brother, Chris Hemsworth, in London on Aug. 31, did he receive some advice that could spell the end for his relationship with Miley?
Liam Hemsworth Sees Brother After Miley Cyrus’ VMA Performance
Liam was spotted leaving Sketch nightclub in London about 25 minutes after Chris, 30, and his wife, Elsa Pataky departed, according to Mail Online. The Hunger Games actor appeared somewhat downcast while sporting a black, leather bomber jacket and a pair of dark jeans.
Liam’s brotherly night out in London comes less than a week after his fiancee caused an enormous sensation with an over-the-top, racy performance — that included a lot of twerking on Robin Thicke – at the MTV Video Music Awards. The laid back actor was reportedly “mortified” by the performance, which he didn’t see it in person because “Miley knew her performance was going to be outside his comfort zone,” so she didn’t want him to be there, a source told HollywoodLife.com exclusively.
It probably didn’t make Liam feel any better that Miley may have also taken her performance to the next level specifically to get back at him. “Miley and Liam had an argument the day of the show — she was really upset and she took it all out onstage, so the performance got even crazier than they had planned because Miley was really amped up,” another source told HollywoodLife.com exclusively. “When she fights with Liam, she acts out and gets even more rebellious, and that came out on stage, but she's not sorry.”

After all that, who can blame Liam for retreating to London to spend some time with his brother? Miley though, may be seeing this as more than just a little brother-to-brother moment — Chris might not exactly be encouraging his little brother to stick out his relationship with Miley.
“Liam’s family is very conservative,” the source said, adding that Miley knew her VMAs performance would upset them too. Then again, she did it anyways. All things considered, Chris’ advice to Liam might be that all the ups and downs with Miley aren’t worth it.
