Exclusive: Royal Pains Promotes Ben Shenkman to Series Regular for Season 5 Feb 14th 2013, 22:49 The doctor is staying put. Royal Pains has upgraded Ben Shenkman, who plays Dr. Jeremiah Sacani, to series regular status, TVLine has learned exclusively. His promotion takes effect with Season 5, which premieres this June. Shenkman’s credits include a recurring role on Drop Dead Diva, as well as Grey’s Anatomy, Damages and Burn Notice.
