It was Motown week on the March 27 episode of ‘American Idol’ and although the solo performances went smoothly, the group performances were a disaster! See who forgot the words below.

The top 8 sang songs from Motor City for guest mentor Smokey Robinson. Judges Nicki Minaj, Mariah Carey, Keith Urban and Randy Jackson did not hold back on their comments — Nicki screamed at Lazaro, who forgot the words during his group performance, telling him to get off the stage! Who should go through to the next round, HollywoodLifers?

‘American Idol’ Recap –The Top 8 Sing Motown

Candice Glover sang "Heard It Through The Grapevine" and completely nailed it! Keith said it was her best performance yet!

Kree Harrison and Janelle Arthur performed a weird duet to Madonna's "Like A Prayer." After Kree sings way better than Janelle, it gets awkward.

Lazaro Arbos sang "For Once In My Life" and is voted most improved. Mariah admires his courage (again).

Janelle Arthur sings "Keep Me Hangin' On" for her solo performance. Mariah and Keith praised her performance, while Nicki said it didn't sound like she was focused on her vocals. Randy offered his usual, "she's in it to win it" line.

Devin Velez sang "The Tracks Of My Tears." Mariah says the performance was flawless and completely loved it. Randy said it was his best from the recent weeks but Keith said he wasn't confident on stage.

Amber, Candice and Angie sang "I'm Going To Make You Love Me" and Mariah falls in love with all of them. "Hashtag Pow." Not as cool when you actually say "Hashtag," Mariah.

Burnell Taylor sang "My Cherie Amour" and Keith says he's an original. Nicki says she knows why she fell in love with Burnell to begin with. Mariah says it was a splendid performance.

Angie Miller sang "Shop Around" and rocked her sexiest look ever in a skintight blue dress and sexy, wavy hair. "I don't know, it was strange for me. It was not great tonight." Randy said. "I would have loved to see you at the piano," Mariah said. Nicki actually started texting while Mariah was speaking!

Amber Holcolm sang Stevie Wonder's "Lately" and got a standing ovation from all four judges! "So good, I loved it!" Mariah said. It was the right song, Keith said. "Best vocal of the night!" Randy raved.

Nicki Minaj: ‘Get Off The Stage’

Devin, Lazaro and Burnell teamed up for "I Can't Help Myself (Sugar Pie Honey Bunch)." Lazaro totally spaced on his part and forgot the words. Nicki screamed, saying that she thought she was back in Hollywood for Hollywood week and that she wished she hadn't seen or heard the performance at all. She told the three contestants to get off the stage!

Kree sang Aretha Franklin. "You definitely are here to stay," Randy said. Nicki said her confidence never wavers and that she was a Queen on the stage.

Who was the best and worst tonight, HollywoodLifers? Tell us in the comments.
