Talk about raining on her parade! Desiree is celebrating her victory at nabbing the coveted ‘Bachelorette’ role, but her brother Nate Hartsock thinks she will find it ‘tough’.
Desiree Hartsock will begin her journey as The Bachelorette on May 20, and while she has the support of both Lindsay Yenter and Sean Lowe, her brother Nate Hartsock – the notorious brother who ruined her hometown date — thinks she will have a “bittersweet” experience.
Desiree Hartsock As Bachelorette: Will She Have A Tough Time?
On the March 12 season finale of After The Final Rose special, Desiree was officially named as The Bachelorette by host Chris Harrison, and she said she wants "to meet the man of her dreams." She said "I'm ready and I'm open" and that she wants a real relationship.
But is Desiree ready? Her brother Nate is not so sure!
"I'm happy for her," he tells Wetpaint. "But it's bittersweet. This is going to be good for her in the sense that the world will get to know her and she's going to have opportunities that she's never had before. In the meantime, though, I'm concerned for her well-being. She's a real emotional girl and this process seems tough."
Yikes! Desiree broke down emotionally when Sean eliminated her, but she she does seem ready for this challenge, and Lindsay thinks she is going to “rock it!”
"I'm so proud of her," says Lindsay. "I wish her nothing but the best. [She'll absolutely find love]. She's a beautiful person inside and out – and she's going to rock it. She's already glowing from it and she hasn't even met anybody!"
We think Desiree will make a great Bachelorette!
