Eight months after Kile’s tragic death, a suspect has been arrested for homicide. On March 1, the jet ski operator who allegedly hit Kile was arrested and is being held without bail.
Usher's world was turned upside down on July 7 2012, when his 11-year-old stepson Kile Glover was struck by a jet ski while he was swimming near his Atlanta home. Kile was pronounced brain dead, and he died when he was taken on life support on July 21. On March 1, Jeffrey Simon Hubbard was arrested for the crime. Read on for all the shocking details.
Jet Ski Operator Arrested For Kile Glover’s Death
Kile was swimming in a Georgia lake when he was struck by Jeffrey who was riding a jet ski, and now Jeffrey has been arrested for this crime, reports TMZ. He was indicted on Feb. 28 by a Grand Jury in Hall County, Georgia.
The District Attorney told TMZ that Jeffrey was indicted for Homicide by Vessel, Serious Injury by Vessel, as well as Reckless Operation of a Vessel, and he is currently being held without bail. He will appear in front of a judge this weekend, who will decide whether or not he will be granted bail.
Usher and his former wife Tameka Foster were totally and utterly devastated when Kile was injured, and they desperately hoped he would recover.
Usher Speaks About Kile’s Death
"I miss Kile," Usher told Oprah on Sept. 16. "Kile was a great part of my life, we cooked together, we laughed, we played, we sang, he loved to sing, he loved to tell jokes," Usher fondly remembered about his stepson.
The death of Kile is tragically sad, but perhaps this arrest will help Usher and Tameka find some peace and move on.
