Relationships stall — even the good ones. Robert Pattinson and Kristen Stewart have a great relationship together, but they have unfortunately decided to take a break from each other after hitting a wall, so to speak. To give more clarity on the whole thing, a source close to Kristen has broken down the split for HollywoodLife.com EXCLUSIVELY.
Robert Pattinson & Kristen Stewart Split ‘For The Sake Of Their Friendship’
The decision to separate was a mutual one, the source says: “Both Rob and Kristen have decided to take a break for the sake of their friendship.” Things just aren’t clicking right now, so instead of forcing it R-Patz and K-Stew have decided to dial things back.
“They love each other deeply and realize that time away from each other will give them both the perspective that they need.” It’s a move that many couples make when things aren’t working — and if Rob and Kristen truly love each other they will reunite when the time is right.
Kristen Stewart ‘Feels Like She Has To Prove Herself To Robert Pattinson’
As for what isn’t working, the source says that there may still be leftover issues stemming from Kristen’s cheating mistake from July 2012. “Kristen is 100% into the relationship but feels like she still has to prove herself to Rob. She’s frustrated and isn’t sure what else she can do to show how much she wants their relationship to work.”
It also doesn’t help that Rob still has shown some reticence, either because of Kristen’s past infidelity or for other reasons. “She was hoping to take their relationship to the next level but Rob has been hesitant,” the source says.
Robert Pattinson & Kristen Stewart On A Break — For Now
So as the couple continues to struggle to see eye-to-eye, they have decided to take some time to themselves — especially for the sake of their relationship. The last thing they want is to grow bitter towards each other. “They are best friends and lovers and right now space is what they have both decided on.”
It’s never a positive thing to see a couple have to go on a break, but at the very least, Rob and Kristen are not broken up, they’re on a break. The difference is much less permanent, and the suggestion is that, especially because they love each other so much, the two stars will make their way back to each other in time.
