Demi has been through so much in the past few years — thankfully she’s had good friends to support her along the way.
Demi Lovato was in the darkest place of her life in 2010, when she spent three months in rehab for emotional and physical issues at the young age of 18. In a new interview, the recovered singer reveals that she was able to make it through with the help of family and friends, most notably Selena Gomez and Nick Jonas.
Selena Gomez & Nick Jonas Supported Demi Lovato
“I ended up having to go through some stuff,” Demi frankly told the Italian network Televisonet.tv. “Fortunately I have family and friends around me that are very very supportive of me and my recovery and everything I stand for.”
Demi then went on to highlight the two people who really helped her the most. “Nick especially,” she said referring to her Jonas Brother friend. “He’s always been there for me.”
“And Selena because she called my crying when I was in there and was just so worried,” Demi revealed. “I was like, ‘Look, I should be the one crying, it’s all good!’ But she was so worried and ever since then we’ve gotten closer.”
Demi Lovato: ‘I Feel More Confident’
With the help and support that Selena and Nick were able to provide Demi, she’s feeling — and looking — better than ever. Her recent single “Heart Attack” has been a success and was just a sign of the amazing things to come on her newest album, Demi, which was released on May 14.
“I have more confidence than I did a couple years ago,” Demi said. “And to me, confidence is sexy.”
We agree! We’re so glad Demi’s back on top, and that she has amazing friends like Selena and Nick to help her get by. What do you think, HollywoodLifers? Let us know!
