TMI?! Shakira delivered a baby boy in January, and found she loves something almost as much as her 4-month-old son — breast-feeding!
Shakira and her hunky beau, Spanish soccer star Gerard Piqué, welcomed baby boy Milan Piqué Mebarak into their lives on January 22. Since then, Shakira has been busy with The Voice and learning the ropes of motherhood. She’s not finding it easy, but she’s also finding that mommy things like breast-feeding are acutally enjoyable!
Shakira Says She’s Going To Breast-Feed Until Milan Goes To College
Shakira told InTouch that she loves breast-feeding because it’s really natural. She can’t get enough of it!
“I can’t stop! I think I’m going to be breast-feeding until he’s in college!” she told the magazine
Shakira Doesn’t Think Motherhood Is As Amazing As She Was Told
As any mother does, Shakira loves her son unconditionally, and she’s enjoying every minute of being a mom. But, after giving birth to Milan in January, she admits she hasn’t had the easiest time adapting to motherhood.
“It’s not as idyllic as everyone tells you. You wonder if you’re ever going to be your old self again or get your body back. And nobody told me babies needed to be changed so often! I’m not complaining, but it’s been full of challenges,” the singer told InTouch.
Fortunately, Gerard has been nothing but involved in the raising of Milan. She said he even changes his diapers — now that’s a husband!
Shakira Felt Pressured To Quickly Lose Her Baby Weight
The Colombian singer has always been known for having a hot bod, so it wasn’t a surprise to see her slim down so quickly after giving birth. But her commitment to The Voice made her feel the pressure to lose any baby weight she had fast. She said Zumba classes are helping her shave off the pounds, but we don’t think she needs to do anything else — she always looks great!
