It’s a sad day for gleeks. HollywoodLife.com’s sister site TVLine is reporting that four of ‘Glee’s’ original cast members will not return for season five.
Glee is getting a major overhaul as it heads into season five. A number of original cast members, who we’ve grown to love, will not be returning to the Fox musical dramedy as series regulars.
‘Glee’ Season 5 Cast — Heather Morris, Amber Riley & More Not Returning
Heather Morris (Brittany), Mark Salling (Puck), Amber Riley (Mercedes) and Harry Shum, Jr. (Mike) are the unlucky actors who won’t be returning full-time, if at all, HollywoodLife.com’s sister site TVLine reports.
Furthermore, Dianna Agron is not slated to be back either. However, they may return as occasional guest stars. (Womp. Womp.)
Huge Shocker Or Totally Expected?
Due to Heather’s real-life pregnancy and the other four characters having graduated from McKinley High at the end of season three, this move is certainly not a huge surprise. Plus, they were hardly around for season four to begin with.
Glee returns with Season 5 on Thursday, Sept. 19.
