Kim Kardashian,32, and Kanye West, 36, are officially first-time parents! The superstar couple welcomed their baby girl on June 15, and both mom and baby are doing well!
Kim Kardashian and Kanye West Welcome First Child
Kim welcomed her baby in the early morning of June 15, about a month earlier than expected, according to TMZ. Sources tell the site that mom and baby are in good health. Their daughter was born at in Cedars Sinai hospital in Los Angeles.
Kim & Kanye Living In Kris Jenner’s House
Even though the proud parents have been together for more than a year, they spent the majority of their pregnancy long-distance. Kanye was in Paris recording his album, while Kim stayed mostly in Los Angeles near her family.
But now that the baby has arrived, the couple will be living in Kris Jenner’s house in Los Angeles while they wait for their $9 Bel Air mansion to be completed.
Her mom Kris Jenner revealed the shocking news in an interview with The Hollywood Reporter, which mentioned the news in passing:
There’ll be even more attention if Kim gets married to Kanye, who’s moving into Kris’ house with her.
However, Kim was quoted in the piece saying, “We have a hotel that she doesn’t know about yet.” Even if Kris has a packed house, it will be so nice for Kim and Kanye to have all that extra help from an experienced mom of six kids!
A Whirlwind Pregnancy for Kim
Although she’s surely so excited to be a mom now, Kim’s pregnancy wasn’t exactly stress free. The Keeping Up With the Kardashians star spent time in a legal battle with now ex-husband Kris Humphries. Despite only being married for 72 days, the former spouses spent over a year and a half in court battles before reaching a divorce settlement on April 19.
Kim has also said that her pregnancy has been painful, and she suffered several health complications — including a possible bout of apendicitis — which were documented on her E! reality show.
Kim’s Weight Often the Subject of Harsh Criticism
Throughout her pregnancy, the 5-foot-2 reality star was deeply criticized for her weight gain and maternity fashion. But Kim fired back at the haters and her sister Khloe praised her response to the mean, hurtful comments.
“I need you to know how truly magnificent you are! You may be one of the most beautiful women I have ever laid my eyes on. Your beauty runs deeper then just what some may see. I know the beauty of your soul. Please never let anyone take that from you! It breaks my heart when I see you sad because of the vicious attacks on your growing, pregnant body. Bible kimmie you are perfect the way you are! This is your life! Your body! Your baby! I wish you could see how you have this pregnant glow and you sparkle everyday! Your belly is fantastic! Kim! You are growing a miracle inside of you! I love you! And I will do anything in my power to protect you!”
All the criticisms aside, none of that matters now that the new baby is here. Both Kim and Kanye have so much to celebrate and they have a great support system to help them with whatever they need. Congrats to the new parents!
