Like everything else in Kim Kardashian‘s life, the baby shower celebrating the first child with her and boyfriend Kanye West is set to be an extravagant and glamorous event on June 2 — with reality cameras rolling, naturally.
1. Kim Kardashian’s Baby Shower Attire Is ‘Garden Chic’
Kim’s mom Kris Jenner and family friend Shelli Azoff are hosting the elaborate event, and each guest was invited with a precious music box invitation that shows a twirling ballerina (who resembles Kim), and plays Kanye’s hit song Hey Mama. The invite says the attire of the shower is garden chic — which is most likely going to be a little more toned down than her famous Met Ball gown.
2. The Shower Is At Irving Azoff’s House
HollywoodLife.com has learned EXCLUSIVELY from a source that the shower will be held at music manager Irving Azoff’s house, who is a close family friend of the Kardashians.
The location will be a change of pace for the Kardashians, who celebrated Kourtney Kardashian‘s two showers at Kris and Bruce Jenner‘s Calabasas, Calif. home.
3. Major Celebrities Were Invited To The Shower
Kim invited A-list mom Beyonce to her shower, which only makes sense since Jay-Z and Kanye are such good friends. Beyonce has a show in London on June 1, and not another show until her June 28 concert in Los Angeles, but no word on whether or not she will attend.
The mom-to-be also invited fellow expectant celebrity mom Fergie, who also lives in Los Angeles. I guess we’ll have to wait and find out if these superstars make it to the event!
4. Kim Is Revealing The Gender Of Her Baby To Guests
Even though Kim, Kanye and their close family and friends know the gender of their baby, Kim is revealing the big news to all of her guests during the celebration. The revelation comes on the same day as the season eight premiere of Keeping Up with the Kardashians, where the family will reveal the big news! Fans nationwide will also find out the gender of Kim’s baby on the same day as Kim’s guests — so there’s no room for the to accidentally be revealed by any loose-lipped shower attendees (ahem, Kathie Lee Gifford).
5. Kanye West Is Stopping By
After a report surfaced that Kim begged Kanye to come to her shower, sister Khloe Kardashian confirmed the good news on May 31 during an interview with Ryan Seacrest. She said Kanye will make an appearance at the end with her hubby Lamar Odom, and possibly Scott Disick.
"It's girls, but Kanye will come at the end…I think Scott [Disick] and Lamar might bring Kanye at the end, because Kanye feels it's a little weird if he's the only guy," Khloe said.
