As Paula got the ax for her unbelievable and shocking racist remarks, stars from Ricky to Patti Stanger took to Twitter to voice their disgust and chide the ignorant (former) Food Network star.

No one can quite understand how Paula Deen could say such hurtful, racist things – she admitted to using the N-word and wanting to host a Civil War-era wedding party with only black waiters in a deposition on June 20 — but everyone can understand why Food Network has chosen not to renew their contract with her. The fallen food TV personality has been the topic of conversation on Twitter since her remarks went public, and stars like Ricky Gervais and Seth Meyers have really let Paula hear it.

Patti Stanger & More Stars ‘Disappointed’ In Paula Deen

Relationship expert/reality TV star Patti Stanger voiced her shock, tweeting, “Woke up in ATL to all the news about @Paula_Deen so disappointed in her. Why do u people think its ok to use the N word? Not right.”

And when Paula made a shoddy video apologizing for her racist comments, Bravo’s Andy Cohen took the opportunity to lash out: “Additionally, Paula Deen should consider apologizing for her makeup in her apology video!”

The absurdity of this whole incident also allowed some premiere comedians to poke fun at Paula. “Paula Deen says ‘I’m no racist. I don’t care who gets diabetes from my cooking,’” Ricky Gervais tweeted.

Saturday Night Live star Seth Meyers tweeted, “Paula Deen butter churn her Wesson. #ThankYou,” humorously saying she better learn from her mistakes after she was let go by the Food Network.

And comedian Patton Oswalt quite possibly had the best — and truest — tweet of them all: “I sincerely hope Paula Deen doesn’t stress eat the way I do.”

All joking aside, Paula’s comments were intolerant and truly shocking in this day and age. The Food Network made the right decision to let her go, and we hope she truly acknowledges her wrongdoing.
