The rapper wants Guantanamo Bay, a prison where international terrorists are held, to stop force-feeding more than 100 detainees who are currently on a hunger strike. Mos decided to have the painful force-feeding done to him in a new video that will leave you shocked.

Mos Def wants to prove a point in a very graphic way. The rapper is part of a new human rights campaign by the organization Reprieve. In the video, Mos gets strapped down to a chair, and a tube is inserted up his nose and down to his stomach. The pain is almost unbearable for Mos and he actually stops the experiment midway.

Mos Def Gets Force-Fed In New Video

Mos wants Guantanamo Bay to stop force-feeding their detainees. This prison, also known as “Gitmo,” serves as a detention facility for international terrorists. It was created in 2002 by the Bush administration. Currently there are 166 detainees at the prison.

The International Committee of the Red Cross inspected Guantanamo in 2004 and their findings were leaked to The New York Times. They found that Gitmo used “cruel, unusual and degrading treatment, and a form of torture.”

Mos’ video comes at a time where there are 100 prisoners on hunger strike. Almost half of them are undergoing force-feeding.

It’s good that celebrities use their fame to stand up for what they believe in. This video is incredibly graphic and definitely makes you stop and think about what is going on with the international treatment of prisoners. Keep in mind, these prisoners are ones who are considered the most extreme and most dangerous criminals in the word. But then again, they are all human beings, and it does start a good discussion.
