Apparently President Barack Obama doesn’t think Kim Kardashian and Kanye West set a good example for America’s youth. Barack called Kimye out while discussing the public’s troubling fascination with the lifestyles of the rich and famous in an interview with Amazon Kindle Singles — and his diss didn’t go unanswered. The president brought out the maternal instincts of momager Kris Jenner, who fought back on her talk show, Kris. Read on for all the details!

In the interview, Barack says the American Dream isn’t what it used to be — and the public’s growing obsession with celebrity culture is partially to blame.
I do think what’s shifted is a notion that the wealthier you are, the more conspicuous consumption you engage in. The more successful you are, the more society should stay out of your way as you pursue the bigger house or the fancier jet or the bigger yacht. Were there things that all of us might have liked to have? Sure. But partly, I think, there also has been a shift in culture. There was not that window into the lifestyles of the rich and famous. Kids weren't monitoring every day what Kim Kardashian was wearing, or where Kanye West was going on vacation, and thinking that somehow that was the mark of success.
After hearing the comment, Kris struck back with a lengthy reply for all of America to hear:
It's really great that people aspire to get a great job … but I wasn't aware that you could only set the bar so high and that we could only dream so big. I was taught, dream big, work hard, and you could have whatever you wanted.
I bet the President has some friends with 10,000 square foot houses and that you wouldn't mind going over there, Mr. President, while you were asking them to have a party for you when you were campaigning for dollars to run for president.
Well, Kris certainly taught Barack a lesson — if you mess with the bull, you get the horns!

But Kris didn’t stop there. She went on to tell Barack just how hard Kim and Kayne have worked for their success.
I find it so odd that he's picking on Kim Kardashian and Kanye West. Well, Kanye West, first of all, doesn't go on vacation. Ever. And Kim Kardashian is the hardest-working young lady in the world. She never sleeps, she never stops, she never slows down and works so hard for what she's got. So I started thinking about her 10,000 square foot house and I thought, "Wow, her job affords her to live in a 10,000 square foot house.” And I think, if I'm not mistaken, that Mr. President's job affords him to live in a 55,000 square foot house.
Oh, snap! Kris certainly has a point — for all their faults, Kim and Kayne are both workaholics and no one can question their work ethic — even the most powerful man in the world!
