The little boy is recovering in the hospital after a frightening pool accident on August 5 and his mom, Tameka, is sending out Twitter and Instagram updates right from his bedside.
Usher Raymond V is recovering well after his scary August 5 near-drowning pool accident in Atlanta. As his parents Usher and Tameka Raymond are going through a really messy custody battle, it’s great to see that the 5-year-old is safe and happy.
Usher’s Son Update After Pool Accident– Mom Tameka Tweets From Hospital
Tameka has been Instagramming pictures of her son’s recovery, providing updates as to his health and condition. On August 10, she posted two adorable shots side-by-side of her boy Usher V looking so darling in his pajamas with the caption:
Woke up cheerful, happy and hungry. Watching Fresh Prince… What does he know about the Fresh Prince? Intense face. Lol.
The Fresh Prince of Bel-Air can make anyone smile, of course! It’s great news to learn that the little boy is doing well and getting a moment to relax away from his parents’ very public custody hearing.
Tameka has also been tweeting updates of the moments she’s spending with her kids. She’s even sleeping at Usher V’s side! On August 10 she wrote:
I feel great this morning! My son and I got a good nights sleep. Didnt even hear the nurses fumbling around. Yaaay, I usually sleep so light.
She has also been retweeting motivational sayings from friends and fans who are coming out in full force to support Tameka and her family. Clearly Tameka is taking some comfort in reaching out to supporters on social media at this anxious time — but is there something more to that?

Tameka’s Instagram updates keep fans updated on her son’s progress, – but they also show that she has been at her son’s side as much as possible since his scary accident. It’s totally natural that a mom would want to share as much time with possible with her kids after such a rattling encounter — especially Tameka, who lost her older son Kile Glover in a water accident just last year — but her ex, Usher, has stayed off Twitter and Instagram entirely during the course of this family incident.
